The Pick-Up Artist- Episode 5 - Recap
We’re naming Pradeep our Pick Up Artist of the week, given his meteoric game in this episode. We hate to admit it, but we were kind of impressed. But doesn’t the guy still probably want to head home? Let’s just say we wouldn’t shed a tear (like some other guys we know) if he packed his bags for good next week. He may have macked that chick at the coffee shop, but his moves - and stories - were way creepy.
As Scott was eliminated last time, we really don’t understand why Pradeep is not only still here, but being welcomed into a man-huddle, a muddle of affection when he returns from the elimination process. Throughout this episode, Pradeep threatens self-sacrifice at every turn, stating that he doesn’t want to try, because then he’ll win, and he doesn’t want to take that away from his “brothers.” Frighteningly, given how well he does this episode, there might actually be cause for concern, even if it is the most patronizing statement ever.
This episode is all about expressing confidence, and what better way to express confidence than in a speedo, because, as Mystery states, “Bodies always tell the truth.” Everyone suits up for a pool party with the exception fo Kosmo — apparently he’s “allergic” to speedos. At first it seems like 12-year-old girl behavior so that everyone in the house can tell him how great he looks in a speedo, while Joe D. gloriously flaunts his 100 or so extra pounds of flesh, exclaiming he has “butt floss.” His unabashed nature is absolutely refreshing, and works on the ladies as well. Joe D.’s confidence helps him win the reward challenge, which gets him one of the greatest tools ever in the next immunity challenge — a puppy.
Next Mystery explains the difference between dating and what they’ve been doing previously. Apparently dating only happens during the daytime, and fornicatin’ only happens at night. Then he tells a charming little story about going to the grocery store, noticing a woman, and she’s in his hotel room 25 minutes later, naked. What a catch.
The guys head to an outdoor coffee shop to practice the art of day gaming, sans “training wheels” according to Mystery. Things don’t work out so well for the Joes — one’s asked if he’s gay after confessing that “Hair” is his favorite musical, and Joe D.’s dog opens more sets than he does. Kosmo makes some girls uncomfortable, while Pradeep actually picks up a real live girl, though she looks to be high as a kite.
Brady nearly closes a set but fails to deliver on the kino (touch). When the dust settles, Pradeep stands victorious, with a number for a girl who looks like she rolled out of the commune in his phone.
At the elimination, the tears come a’ rollin’. Everyone, with the exception of Matador and J-Dog, cry. If they thought it was difficult to get girls before, wait to the female population views this episode. In the end, Joe W. is eliminated, but not before he promises to go home, get four dates a week, and “build a life.” But first he needs to take that diaper off his head.

Like any real guy would want to be with a woman who would be with any man/boy who looks like these “Pick Up Artists”?
Normal guys don’t look like these idiots, and wouldn’t want to be with a woman who goes for this type. Even for one night. Face it,, any woman who would dew a guy like Mystery, even for one night, I wouldn’t want to be with! Who knows what she caught from the people she’s comfortable with, that I could possibly catch!
One night stand type guys may think this show gives you an advantage, but do you really want to be with some woman who last night was with some guy with eye make-up? And brags he can have any woman. Just what did he pass on to her, that she will pass on to you???????
