Heidi Copies Lauren with a Clothing Line

heidi-montag-1127.jpgObviously if a clothing line is “designed” by a celebrity, it just makes us regular peeps want to buy it more. Because knowing that Sarah Jessica Parker or Nicky Hilton stared at a shirt for a few seconds just makes it that much more awesome, amazing and stylish. I mean these people know fashion. They wear clothes, so obviously they should be able to design them, right? And now, resident Hills frenemy Heidi Montag has decided to follow in the footsteps of her former BFF-turned-designer Lauren Conrad, and give her own clothing line a go! She tells People, “It’s going to be called Heidiwood, and I’m so excited I can’t even tell you!”

Oh my god! That name is so brilliant, so original, that we’re so excited we can’t even tell you! What else, Heidi? “I want all my fans to be able to buy it. I want to bring that fashionable clothing line down to a price range where people can actually afford it.”

Wow those duds sound like the cheap clothes her boyfriend Spencer probably mocks people for wearing! But what about those people that might accuse her of copying Lauren? Hellll no, says Heidi! “…Mine’s going to be more sexy and fun. I think they can both do well. They’re very different. So good luck to her, and I’m not doing this to compete.”

It’s a good thing Heidi’s jumping into the celeb-designed clothing biz before it gets too saturated with loser wannabees who got famous for doing nothing on reality TV. Looks like Amanda Bynes, Mandy Moore and Jessica Simpson better watch their backs!  [People]
