Deelishis’ R-Rated Photo Shoot
Deelishis lands on the cover of the latest issue of Smooth and, wow, is she looking…ample. Clearly, the phrase “amazing body” is tossed around waaay too often, because when someone like Deelishis comes along, “amazing” doesn’t even begin to describe her. I mean, look at her on the cover: she looks like a pair of hedge clipper handles with her ass serving as the spring. Un. Real.
There’s plenty more ass to be found in the magazine, but there’s also an interview with Miss D, in which she talks Flav (his baby mama approached her at his Comedy Central Roast, leaving her to conclude, “There will be no friendship between [Flav and me]“), her music career, an upcoming movie role and tons of sex stuff that I really cannot print here, like at all (understand she uses the word “squirter in reference to herself…seriously).

Why is everybody up in flames when a woman who is beautiful and knows it, broadcasts and banks off of it? What’s so bad about a woman flaunting her body to support her lifestyle? We all sell a part of ourselves to live, whether its physical labor or own mental intellect– can’t knock the hustle. I think Deelishis’ transformation as the former “righteous’ of the Flavettes into the bootylicious centerfold that she clearly is, is aggravating because she is no longer a fantasy. She is no longer, beautiful, sexy, talented, and virtuous– now she’s just another video/mag chick. Why are women, especially beautiful women always expected to be superhuman and remain in a nook of illumination in our minds? I think we’ve all gotten too used to male standards and have forgotten that sometimes fantasies have fantasies of their own. And unfortunately, they need to be very realistic and economical to attain them and being someone else’s daydream doesn’t make the rent.
