Below, Bret’s second second-runner-up Destiney talks honesty, her recently departed father, the Rock of Love chicks she made out with that you didn’t see on TV and remorse for her treatment of Kristy Joe.
Has all of this been fun for you?
Yeah. I was so excited to do Rock of Love 2. It’s been crazy, but I don’t regret anything.
It seems like your honesty was your undoing. Do you think maybe you’re too, uh, real for reality TV?
I don’t think so. The response I’ve been getting from a lot of people, fans and stuff, or haters, I should say, came from me giving Kristy Joe so much s***. I got a lot of negative feedback, but you know, I don’t have a problem with her at all. The situation of being on a reality show makes you act in ways you normally wouldn’t.
When the issue of you being in love with Bret came up, you could have easily lied to give yourself a better chance of staying in the competition, but you didn’t.
To be honest, if I did lie, and I did end up winning, I wouldn’t have been able to live with that. When Daisy and Ambre came to me before my elimination to tell me that they were really in love with him, I saw their passion for him. I didn’t share that with them. I wasn’t going to stand in the way of that, if Bret felt the same way for them, and I truly think he did. I tried so hard to spend time with Bret, and he always wanted us to break down our walls, but I don’t feel like he did the same. I don’t feel like he made the effort to get to know me and spend time with me, one-on-one. Not as much as he did with Daisy and Kristy Joe, at least.
Do you resent that?
I don’t. Now, looking back and watching the show, I think I was a little bit jealous of the time he spent with Kristy Joe. I think that’s part of the reason why I gave her such a hard time. Also, I know that she had a lot of personal issues going on at the time, and I felt like it wasn’t the right time for her to be in the situation we were in. I felt like she should have gone home, because she wasn’t emotionally available.
Did it piss you off when you turned out to be absolutely right, and Kristy Joe did leave?
No! I was really happy to see her go! She was a little bit of a drama queen. That may have been because she was dealing with so much in her own head. She didn’t know how to really interact with us and relate to us, because she was so wrapped up in her own s***. That’s why I really thought she should have gone home. She kept saying she was going to leave. She packed her bags twice or more. She left a note on Bret’s door one day when he was out! Like, that’s how she was going to say goodbye. I flipped out at her over that. It’s like, how are you going to just leave a note, after all of that? That’s just cowardice. But after watching the show and seeing her connection with Bret and Bret’s connection with her, he was really into her! And I think I may have been jealous of that.
It’s big of you to admit that.
I didn’t have that, and I wanted it and I was trying so f***ing hard. I never got that with him. The bottom line was that I wasn’t feeling it with Bret and I think it’s because I wasn’t feeling it from him. The only time I got a solo date was with my parents (laughs). So the only time I was alone with him was riding the Harley to and from the house.
He really was so amazing to your dad, though, wasn’t he?
Oh, absolutely. I was really glad that he did. It really was a blessing for my father to experience that. It was the last time he ever rode a Harley, because he was really sick.
I was really surprised that your bisexuality wasn’t…
…more of an issue?
Not an issue, really, but more of a plot point.
Me too! But truth be told, I told the producers that I like to make out with hot girls when I’m drinking, whatever, having fun. They eventually got me to say that I’m bisexual. If that’s what you call it.
So you don’t truly identify as such?
Nah, I’ve messed around with girls in my past and experimented in drunken states, but I could never be in a relationship with a female. Don’t get me wrong, I love making out with hot chicks. Who doesn’t? I guess gay guys.
I think the very first thing we heard you say on the show was that if Bret wasn’t going to make out with you, you’d make out with girls.
I tried to the first night! I made out with someone, I don’t know who it was, I was so hammered. It was in the Jacuzzi. She had dark hair. Mighta been Jackie. Jackie or Inna. I don’t know, they didn’t show it. Oh, and I made out with Megan. That’s one thing I do regret.

obviously Destiney is just too much of a party girl type who isn’t serious. I’m surprised Bret kept her on as long as he did.
I’m sorry to say this , but i hated this chick from the start.She was always givin somebody a hard time.And she never really wanted bret.And what really sealed the deal was when her being on this show and her dad was dying.That B—H is so heartless! I really thought Destiney was way too drastic with all of her drama, and her temper. BUT – RIP, her father, because he seemed to be such a sweet man. It was sad to hear that he had passed.
Destiney actually played a waitress in the movie Georgia Rule, interesting that it never came up. Usually its a big deal when someone on the show has been on tv before.

Well was watching a movie today, and saw that destiney was in it. The waitress in (Georgia Rule) I think that the ony reason she was on the show was for publicity, BUT she was honest with how she actually felt. She didnt lie and try to say that she was in-love with Bret.

Wow, I actually like and respect Destiny/Destiney/Destinee more after reading this. I didn’t like her at all on the show and thought she was an immature nasty person. But I like that she readily admits that she was wrong about some of her behavior.

I have really grown to love Destiny, I lost my dad in Feb. and I know how she feels, and it has a way I think of making you get honest with life and yourself. I truly respect Destiny for her honesty, and I think that if she would of had more time with Bret, that there would of been a connection. Evidently there was something for her to stay there that long. I think that Bret felt more for her then she realizes. Destiny I wrote to you on your MYSPACE about your dad, and I will say it again, I am so truly sorry for your loss, you are going to do a lot with your life, you were one of the special girls, like Peyton, these are women we will be hearing more about. And to COVERGIRL, your the one that is a heartless (%~_*~ You have no idea what the situation is or was with Destiny and her dad. If I was her dad and she was my daughter, I wouldn’t of wanted her not to take that opportunity to be by my side when I had my wife already there. You have no right to judge Des or anyone. Let me tell you something COVERGIRL, on Feb. 14 I had a ticket to go see Bret Michael’s at the Bottle Neck Blues bar in St.Louis. I had my hair, nails, done, had made arrangements with one of the bar managers to meet Bret to tell him thanks for going to Iraq ( I am the mom of 2 Marine Vets who were in Iraq) and my dad was in the hospital, he was getting better, and I decided that I belonged by my dad’s side. My dad died on Feb.16, I think I knew this was going to happen down in my soul, cause I wasn’t going to let it stop me from going to see Bret perform. I just know that every situation is different, and you have no right to judge Destiny. Because of Destiny, her dad got to ride a Harley with an old school rock star, now what an awesome gift that was that a daughter was able to give her dad, YOU ROCK DESITNY.
