The Celebreality Interview - Thing 1
“I still have my sister on there, so she’s still representing us. My spirit is through her, so I’m still on the show through my sister,” says Thing 1 on her elimination from Flavor of Love 3. After the jump, the realitwin talks fakeness, being grouped with her sister as one contestant and those nasty oral-sex allegations.
How was your time on the show?
It was a quite an experience. It had its fun moments, I have to say. Being in that environment was definitely intense. As it got closer and closer to the end, it became very emotional.
How did you feel about Flav grouping you with your sister as one contestant?
We always have been close our whole life, but at first it was kind of strange for us to compete as one person. That wasn’t our intention coming into the show. Eventually, it became sort of normal, considering the circumstances we were in. We got used to it, it wasn’t a big thing after a while.
Normal to the point where being split up was upsetting, right?
It was emotional. We knew it was going to happen, but we didn’t think it was going to hit as hard as it did.
That came as a result of the new girls interviews with the “old girls.” Do you want to talk about that? You were made out to be kind of a polygamist…
That’s so not true. What I said was, “We’re fine how it is right now. I cannot tell you how we’ll feel in the future, and as women, it would be difficult for us to share. But at this particular time, our situation is OK.” I wasn’t saying, “We’ll both be with him!” I wasn’t saying that and I wasn’t OK with that. That made me mad because they didn’t air that, and I felt like it looked like I wasn’t being serious.
The Bottom 2 came down to you and your sister and you were the one to leave. Did it make sense to you that you were the one to go?
I feel like it was unfair. My sister and I was feeling him the same exact way. I was feeling Flav a lot, and being in that situation, your feelings grow more and more. For it to be like I wasn’t feeling him more, that was hurtful. If I didn’t care about Flav, I wouldn’t have cared about what girls were fake and what girls weren’t. I woulda just been on there with a mission and that’s it. But no.
Any resentment for your sister for staying?
No, never! No show, no man, no nothing would ever break the bond that me and my sister have. When I went home, I told my sister to keep her head up. Keep fighting, you know?
You talked about not just being on a mission, but you did have a certain strategy going into the house, right?
I mean, it wasn’t like, “This is what we gonna do when we get in the house!” It’s that when you’re around certain females, you pick up on their characteristics and what kind of person they are. It bothered me that you could see right through the girls to what their agendas were. A lot of girls was fake in there, and were just on TV for exposure, to get modeling contracts and all that. They didn’t deserve to be there over somebody that was really there trying to look for love.
So that was the criterion for fakeness? Who was interested in getting involved in entertainment?
Right. Who was there to be there and who was there to get a career out of it.
You formed a bond with Sinceer, which was interesting because no one else did.
Sinceer and Shy were some of the realest girls in the house. They had in mind Flav’s best interests and that’s why we clicked so much. We felt like we were really there for Flav.
Any theories as to why Sinceer gravitated to you, considering how aggressive she was with many of the other girls?
I think real recognized real.
Are you still friends with Shy and Sinceer?
Definitely. We still talk a lot and everything.
Anyone else?
Grayvee. Not really anybody else, though.
Any outstanding beef with anyone?
I just can’t really remember all of them. Maybe if I watched some reruns it would come back to me, but nope. I don’t remember anybody else.
It seemed really unfair to me that the major reason you were eliminated had to do with your ex.
For me to go home off some bullcrap, to know that it was nothing but lies, just to make good TV, I thought it was unfair. I’m always honest. I’m a grown woman. I want to be ashamed of nothing that I do. To be exploited in that way, I was disgusted with that.
I also feel like, even if it were true, how is it anyone’s business what you did before you got in the house, anyway?
I mean, to say it like that, what was in the past was in the past. That doesn’t determine how I felt about Flav. It wasn’t like something came out that I was a prostitute or that I was doing modeling. No. I was only me. But going home based on a lie and for Flav to question me, I was really hurt by that.
Do you have resentment for him?
No. It was hard for him to have to choose between me and my sister and there had to be a reason for one of us to go. I felt like that made it a little bit easier. I still have my sister on there, so she’s still representing us. My spirit is through her, so I’m still on the show through my sister.
Flav cried when he eliminated you. That must have felt good, knowing that he cared so much?
I mean, I knew he cared because we had the connection. We spent a lot of time with Flav off-camera. We formed a bond. Flav is very smart. He can see through people, and he knew we was good-hearted people. It is what it is.
Were you attracted to Flav?
Definitely. I was attracted to how he was. His spirit was just so good and genuine. He was one of the most honest, the coolest person you could ever meet. That attracted me to him more than anything else.
What about a physical attraction?
When you first look at him, you be like, “Whoooo,” or whatever. But once you get past all that and know Flav for Flav, his inner personality, his inner beauty, that overshadows everything to make him the bomb person. You know what I mean?
Are you and your sister identical?
Yeah. Well, we’re supposed to be. (Laughs) I think over the years, we kinda changed.
I saw on your FlavorOfLoveWorld.com profile that you identify as the “curvier” twin.
Yeah. It’s so funny. People say, “Oh my god, she’s so big on TV.” I probably was a little big on the show, but I’m only like a buck 25! TV makes you look different.
Are you and your sister pursuing more work in the entertainment industry?
Well, I have to say that it’s definitely been a blessing being on the show. It gave us a lot of opportunities right now. You just kinda have to weigh out and see what you can do. I’m not no model or a singer or any of that stuff. I just have to wait it out and see what doors I want to go through.
But you didn’t go into the show feeling this way, right? That would have been fake, right?
No. My sister and I have always been shy. We were always shy to do commercials and those kinds of things. That wasn’t our main interest at all.
Did you take anything lasting away from the show?
I feel like I grew as a person, as far as my temper. I don’t be whoppin’ girls. I can handle myself a little better now. It was a learning experience and a great opportunity.

Here is my comment! I have said I wanted to do reality t.v. after they gave New York punk )~% a spin off from being on flavor of love. Besides the point too many people came on season one, two, and three just for t.v.I’m not sure how long the show runs but not long enough to love a person just for show yeah bet you do love him or you going home but spiritually, mind, body, and soul, pumpt! Everybody please stay at home. Get the cameras out of your face and see what you have to say to this man then. Would females be jocking flav if he was down and out. They ain’t given mc hammer his own damn show. It’s a competition and after all the mess I’ve seen watching this series I’m just really pissed Miami got da boot. Okay lets be real here. We all knew that eventually the twins would have to be split up because he’s not gonna pick both of them to be with. This has been a long time coming. So as far as which twin should have gone, I think he picked the right one. It was obviously that both girls did like Flav but everyone could tell that Thing 2 was more into him and had a better connection. Especially when they were getting married and he said it felt like the real thing and he gave her his clock. So this was no surpirse that Thing 1 went home. I bet it will be down between Thing 2 and Sinceer.

Personally i feel as if,although it may hurt like hell, u shouldn’t be so mad to have been eliminated because if he had done separated u and yo sis, it was kinda obvious that one of yall was ganna leave sooner or later. I mean me and my sista was boo-hoo cryin too when it came down to yall to b/c yall kept the house so interesting and both of yall seemed to have so much love for this man and yall was tha ones trying to show Flav who was real and who was there for t.v or to further their career. And as for ya ex, he ain’t got no class at all. I mean whether u did it or not that shoulda been between yall. He shouldn’t have exposed u like that, or at all to be for-real. Like if u know somebody here trying to prove to the man they really feelin or who they love that they the one fo him, why would u try to break that chain and mess them up? Why would u wanna mess up a relationship that u missed out on? Ya know, he had his chance. Imean that was *green * for him to do that to u. If it wasn’t for him, u would probably still be there wit ya sista! So whether the outcome for u was good or bad, i’m so happy for u and juss *BIG UPS* for shutting it down for u and ya sis! ya know! I don’t think that flav made a good choice,for one reason,my father always told me about beliving everything some one says. You never know what life has to offer you if you base your choices on what some else has to say. I mean an ex…. come on how stuiped can you be. Just because it’s over does’nt mean you leave with a bitter heart and hatered. I know he was lying I could tell by the way he kept laughing he must have been clowned by his homies or something. So what other childish way to act but to try to get even by dissing her…. My advice to u thing1 is to never deal with him u know that word long handle spoon it has a new meaning from a distance. The disrespect was so cold and caculated,and any way if thing1 did do it I am sure it would never happen again….

I think the twins were being both fake & real, who knows? But, it was a shame that Thing 1 was eliminated and that it split up her & her sister, Thing 2! I’m glad she’s grown through this, etc.

Flav is engaged to his 7th baby’s mama and they are expecting there 8th child together he did the show because he was under contract to do 5 shows and had no chose or be sued plus they needed the money for his new family in las vegas.

I have a hard time believing what either of the twins say abut being real, because all they both did on the show was tell all day everyday. For her to now say she is a grown woman is a bit funny. Grown women tend to themselves they both tried to spill their guts about everyone else but when it came back time for her she thinks it is so unfair. Becareful what you say and do it always has a way of coming back to haunt you.

The reason This Thing, That Thing and Shy were okay by Sinceer was because she would only get close to those whom she thought gave her NO competition.
After getting done with ROL2 with their fakery, I have to say that it’s obvious this show gives people the opportunity to observe and comment on humans under entertainment experiment and as everyone already knows, the outcome doesn’t matter to ANYone. All that happens, like in ROL2, was that one of the females in the house is the last idiot standing. You can’t “win” another human being any more than you can buy one or return one. Now, if their was a contract in place that said the last female in that rental unit had to marry Flav FOR REAL on the spot… that would be some real tension.
My one wish is that VH1 would have Father Flav bring up his kids - no matter how many mothers may be involved - and let the contestants interview THEM. THAT…. would be a show worth watching.
