The Celebreality Interview - Seezinz

“There’s no comparison. First of all, my head weighs about 8 lbs. Hers probably weighs a good 15 to 20,” says Seezinz. Hmmmm, who could she possibly be talking about? Below, Seezinz talks about the drama that may have led to her dismissal, her conscious effort to disprove stereotypes about black women, and her frequent use of the word “ghetto” (undoubtedly, to Flav’s chagrin).
What did you think about Flav’s rationale for letting you go?
I did feel like Flav and I had a connection, but there were certain things I saw going on around me that made me feel that the drama may have played a role in the reason I was still around. I knew it wasn’t the sole reason, because I wouldn’t have made it to the Top 3 if he didn’t like me. I actually wanted to stop fighting so much with Sinceer, because that’s not me. I felt like for the most part, our fights kept me around for ratings purposes. When I got to Paris, I backed off Flav a little bit. Black turned up the heat and Sinceer tried, so I was in the background. I’m not that aggressive of a person, so I thought that’s why I was getting sent home. I didn’t think my comment about drama would even be a factor.
It was pretty messed up that Flav let Sinceer interrupt your nightcap with Flav.
That hurt. I guess he just wanted to spend more time with her than me.
Any idea why?
I don’t know. You see me, and you see her. There’s no comparison. First of all, my head weighs about 8 lbs. Hers probably weighs a good 15 to 20. Like, seriously, come on.
I guess it’s safe to say that you still have beef with Sinceer?
There’s no beef. I don’t like her. She’ll never be a friend of mine. I don’t hold grudges, so after the reunion, it’s, “Get out of here little girl. You’re nothing to me.”
Does that make you tense for the reunion?
No. Like I said, fighting isn’t me. Even when they show us arguing on the show, I don’t yell. I’m the one who’s trying to be mellow. Whereas she hollers and screams. I don’t plan on fighting anybody at the reunion, but if it goes down, it goes down.
Your first fight, at least, was an all-out screaming match.
Well, of course they just showed when it escalated. When I approached Sinceer after I heard she called me a “nobody,” I said, “Can you show me how you impersonated me?” I stepped back, she showed me and I said, “Well, who do you think you are to call me a nobody?” That’s when she stood up and started swinging her head and standing on her tippy-toes and being extra. I said, “This chick is not going to yell in my face like that.”
From the start, you vocally designated yourself as being classier than the rest of the girls. Was that strategy?
Honestly, the first two seasons of Flavor of Love, the way that black women were portrayed as loud and ghetto and shaking their butts, bending over for rappers…it’s like, in music videos, you see that all the time. And that’s not me. My parents are cool and educated with college degrees. I didn’t grow up wanting for anything. I didn’t grow up in the hood. I wasn’t going to go on there as this stereotypical black woman. I’m educated, I have a degree, I know how to finish a sentence, and I wanted to show the world that, hey, there are women out there that have their wits about them. There are black women who don’t have to shake their butt, just because it’s nice and round. I can have an intelligent conversation with Flav or anyone.
You just said the word “ghetto,” and you have on the show before. What did you think of it when Flav said that he didn’t approve of anyone using that word?
It’s funny, because in that scene outside, the twins said to Flav, “Seezinz calls us hood rats.” Flav asked me my definition of a hood rat, and I said, “First of all, I call them hood rats because I don’t lie. Second of all, a hood rat is a loud, boisterous woman who is heard before she’s seen.” To me, that sums up the Things and Sinceer. A hood rat can be white, black, Spanish, Chinese, purple, a Martian, whatever. That’s my definition. So with “ghetto,” everyone uses that word. Every city has a ghetto. It can be a white, like, I guess, trailer trash. But that’s still ghetto. The Jewish communities during the Great Depression were called ghettos. It had nothing to do with skin color, it’s just economic status. You know, ghetto. It’s sad because people who come from those areas may act a certain kind of way, and people use that word to mean outlandishly crazy or ignorant. “Stop being ghetto.” To me, those girls were ignorant. It’s just a term. It can describe anything. I can be on Rodeo Drive and see something that doesn’t sit well and say, “OK, that’s ghetto.”
My main problem with the word is that some people, especially white people, use it as a politically correct substitute for “black,” and so it allows for a sort of veiled racism.
Yeah.
Do you have any theories as to why you and Sinceer clashed so hard?
I didn’t like her from the charades thing, but I also didn’t like how she used the twins to get to Flav. It was a great strategy, because she saw that Flav dug the Things and she latched onto them to get attention from him. I was there from Day 1 by myself. Hotlanta was my girl, but I didn’t need her to validate me. Also I think that Sinceer just focused way too much on me. I think she wanted to be me.
You think she was intimidated?
Yeah. I have a better body than her, a smaller head. My feet weren’t as strong as hers. She was jealous, that’s all.
What about the twins? Do you have any outstanding beef with them?
I told the twins, “My beef is not with you all.” They started beefing with me because of Sinceer. But it’s like, fine: I got some jokes for days for both of y’all. One fat twin, one skinny twin. They got the gap at the top and the bottom, who has that? Their weaves were messed up. Their nails were awful. Are you kidding me?
Besides Hotlanta, who did you bond with?
Bunz, Prancer, Ice and Saint Lewis. And me and Black are cool. She ultimately stabbed me in the back, but what else is new? That’s the history of the show. It’s just TV, whatever. I have no hard feelings towards anybody. The only person I legitimately don’t like is Sinceer. She’s just cruel.
Your lack of hard feelings was noticeable basically as soon as you were eliminated. You took it well.
I was upset, because I was really hoping to win Flav, but I couldn’t be fake. I wanted him to be happy in the end, but I’m happy that I talked about how I was feeling. I wanted Flav to know about the drama thing then instead of later.
Was Black telling the truth when she told Flav that you knew you were going home and just wanted the one-hour date to kick it with him?
I can’t even remember when that conversation happened, but I did have the sense that my time was up. When we were on the boat and out to dance, I felt myself drifting away from him. I felt like maybe it wasn’t right for me. I never had to fight for a guy’s attention, so it was kind of hard for me. I just had the feeling.
Were you attracted to Flav?
Yeah!
Physically?
Yeah. I was. He’s also just a really cool guy. I think it was really his personality. He’s outgoing and funny, even off-camera, when he didn’t have to be. He made us all feel really comfortable.
How has this experience been for you?
Very positive. When I first got to the house, I saw some of the girls and they were scantily clad, and I had on jeans and a jacket. I was just like, “Wow, I didn’t get the hoochie memo.” I didn’t think I’d last past a week. I was a little nervous at first because I didn’t know how I was going to be portrayed. But they portrayed me well, and I carried myself well.
Any regrets?
None at all! I had too much fun on that show. It was fun. It’s TV, hey. Who could be mad about being on TV?

You know what Seezinz, at first I was upset that Flav kicked you off but in the end I felt that you were too good for him anyway. If he wants trash, let him have it. He is so stupid to let what people say sway his mind so easily.Like he cant think clearly for himself. Offcourse the opponent is going to exaggerate a story just to get the other kicked off. You kept it real so who needs him? Like Sinceer’s dad said, there will probably be a flavor of love 4. Why? Because he keeps making the stupidest choices. You will make some man very happy one day. So its Flavs lost.

Don’t worry about it you where to petty for him anyway.
Hope you do find a good man, He is out there somewhere for you.

Seezinz, I was truly discouraged, and disappointed when you were eliminated, from the FOL-3 reality show You were the only one on the FOL reality show with any class, dignity and integrity. However, I have 2 questions: 1. Why did you not expose Sinceer as being on Deal or No Deal, at the same time that Sinceer exposed Tree of being on America’s Next Top Model. instead of waiting intil you were on your African Safari solo date with Flav. 2. When did Thing-1’s boyfriend attack you which made you, as you so stated, retaliate against Thing-1, in your closing remarks during the elimination ceremony. Frankly, based upon what the viewers observed during the FOL, episode 11 It appeared that it was Thing 1&2, and Sinceer’s responsibilty and duty to apologize to you for their inappropriate behavior during the ex-boyfriends gathering at the mansion, and the after-math that follow with the bed-jumping (Thing 1 & 2) and the floor-jumping (Sinceer), not to mention Sinceer throwing your clothes and suitcase out of the room. I can not understsand why this type of mental abuse was allowed to occur and vester in such a loving and caring man’s mansion. I am sorry to say that I have absolutely no respect for Flavor-Flav after watching episodes 12 & 13. Take care,
