so i’m at the club workin my routine with multiple sets, but find it to be just too damn loud to have a conversation. i want to use the material i’ve learned from you in The Game and the Pickup Artist, like best friends test and the Cube, but it’s just too damn loud (this is a bar with live bands).

Suggestions?

Hey Mystery. How are you going to explain to your daughter, when she grows up, how you could choose pick up over her? And how do you explain to her how you use “negs”, “LMR” and the like to manipulate women and yet expect her to grow up to be a strong, independent woman? Or do you believe in Pick Up so much that you would have no problems with some guy using your methods on her when she gets older??

Mystery, how is that you only pick up cheap and easy girls with mediocre looks?

You never try to go for someone who actually seems to be both beautiful and intelligent, and on top of that, a woman everybody wants. Seriously, I’ve recently watched your show with my girlfriend,who is all that, and she just said:
“Pathetic. The only girl who I can ever imagine going for that guy is either dumb, blind or both”.

Hey dude I must say I feel sorry for you. What you are doing is based off of deception and minipulation. You may be able to manipulate a woman becuase you have spent years practicing what you do. I am currently reading your first book. I am a 43 yo male with very limited social skills. So, when is a compliment, just a compliment? What is a good response (other than thanks)? When I am interested in her or not? Or should it be the same response? I don’t do the bar thing any more, but a good example would be a waitress.

With so many guys watching your show and going out and trying the openers they keep hearing repeatedly, and girls hearing these openers either in your show or from all these guys trying them, I feel like I’m actually starting to hear many of these openers out in bars often enough that they become cliche. Is there a way to keep these openers from becoming ineffective or do you have tips for being more original and casual about it so that they don’t seem like struggling pickup attempts?

Ok, this will probably come off sounding negative because most people can’t tell the difference between someone who is telling the brutal truth, and someone who is just being negative. That’s all a matter of opinion anyway, as is most things in this materialistic, shallow existence.

I understand that this show operates under the pretense that you are “helping” these young, sexually in-experienced boys turn into more well-spoken, confident, out-going men who will be more likely to meet someone who they will “fall in love with”. That is a very sweet idea. If that was what was really going on, I wouldn’t have such a problem with it.

The truth is, you are not helping them find love. You are recruiting more game players into this little society of men who like to degrade women by referring to them as “sets” and “games”. When I go out for a drink, I will speak to someone who I have a subliminal connection with. Most women will do the same. Whether they realize it or not, they are speaking to that person because something about this man has sparked there interest. Granted, I am talking about intelligent, well-rounded women who are not looking for a one-night-stand, they are looking for good conversation and a possible long-term connection.

You are not helping them find that. You are teaching them skills that will attract the other 90% of woman that are out there: the women who will not date a guy if he is over weight, or if he has glasses or if he doesn’t look “cool enough”. That is a very immature, shallow way to live, and I wouldn’t train men to feed into that self-indulgent crap by dressing them up and telling them to walk, talk, and think like one of these, so-called, “cool guys” that these girls are looking for. They are perfect, just the way they are! Teach them THAT.

In the big picture, this is just TV and it really doesn’t matter. Only morons who have no self identity would ever watch this show and think “oh, this is exactly what women want and what they are looking for, I should go try it”. Still, it bothers me that it is even out there, being viewed by many morons who take everything they see on MTV or VH1 as gospel, and live their life according to what these stupid reality TV shows tell them.

What does this TV show tell them? It says: women are toys/games, not people. Feed them a few lines, twirl them around and pretend you have a friend waiting outside for you… and she’s all yours! That isn’t finding love, that’s getting laid. Now, if that was explicitly stated in the show, that there are intelligent women on this earth that will not fall for your ridiculous “negs” and will see through this poorly put-together facade before you even begin speaking, then cool. Just acknowledge the fact that we aren’t stupid. We are not games to be played. We are people, JUST LIKE YOU! Why do man view woman like they are alien life forms that are so difficult to understand? It’s not hard to understand us, unless you are a robot.

Here is the big secret: if you are having a hard time talking to women, or you are getting a negative response from them, consider where you are meeting them. If you are in a bar, a night club, or any other party atmosphere, the chances of you meeting someone with any depth is very slim. Try going to a library! You won’t find these shallow Paris Hilton “wanna-be”s at the library, or any other place where any form of brain power is required. It’s like kryptonite to them. All the big words confuse them and give them a headache, which then takes hours of shiny objects and fluffy stuffed animals to get rid of.

It’s not that hard to meet a nice girl. These guys don’t need to learn pick-up lines, and they don’t need coaching. They need to just relax and be themselves, because they are probably wonderful people who are having a hard time because GOD FORBID you are a warm-hearted, honest, caring guy in our society, right? These skanky, spoiled little girls are ruining all the good men in the world, and you are +^_*^!@%$)($&_( isting them. The fact that you have a woman on your show just proves my point. She probably doesn’t see anything wrong with what the show represents because 1. She doesn’t completely understand how demeaning it is toward her own sex and 2. She probably doesn’t even care. I don’t know her, and I don’t know you. So I am not saying you both are shallow, mean-spirited, uncaring people, because we’ve never met so I wouldn’t know. I’m just saying it certainly appears that way, when you are the star of a show that turns women into objects of a long, drawn out game.

So, I’ve said my piece. You will never read it, but it felt good anyway. Even if you did, you would probably laugh and make some comment about how I “just don’t get it”. Keep telling yourself that, because if I were you I would have a massive guilty conscience to deal with… if you care at all, that is.
