Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith have started a school! 80% of the students will be receiving some form of financial aid! Awesome! So why is everyone freaking out about its ties to Scientology? Yes, the school has some teachers who identify as Scientologists – but according to the school’s head, teachers of all religions have been hired and the school itself has no religious affiliation. The school will be also using something called “study technology” (created by Scientology guru L. Ron Hubbard)as one of their teaching methods, which “focuses on students gaining hands-on experience, mastering subject matter before moving to the next level, and being taught not to read past words they don’t understand.” But again, other methods are supposedly being used, and honestly, doesn’t hands-on experience sound awesome?
Er, not everyone thinks so. David Touretzky, Carnegie Mellon professor and Scientology critic, argues, “There is no reputable educator anywhere who endorses [study technology]. What happens is that children are inculcated with Scientology jargon and are led to regard L.R. Hubbard as an authority figure. They are laying the groundwork for later bringing people into Scientology.”

Will is a good guy. If he knew what Scientology was really about and how it treats its members, ex-members, and critics he wouldn’t go near it with a ten foot pole. The key to scientology working is gradients and this is a part of study tech.
gradient: a gradual approach to something, taken step by step, level by level, each step or level being, of itself, easily surmountable-so that, finally, quite complicated and difficult activities or high states of being can be achieved with relative ease. This principle is applied to both Scientology processing and training.
It sounds simple on the surface and seems to make since. But Scientology takes it to an extreme. You are not allowed to look forward at all until you have proven you have accepted the current step you are on. Looking ahead is a crime. If one were to look at Scientology’s teachings as whole they would never accept them. So gradients gets you to accept the idiotic and crazy ramblings of L Ron Hubbard one by one without questioning. So it starts out simple, with teachings like, If you don’t know a word look it up. A few years later you are paying thousands of dollars to scientology to help rid your body of aliens and waiting to get your super powers all the while wondering while people are laughing at you.
Will Smith is currently being suduced by the cult. He is only being shown the low level common sense teachings that L Ron Hubbard plagerized from all over. He is being put through Auditing which will uncover his deepest fears and inner most secrets. This all being recorded with video and audio and kept on file and will be used against Will to control him. This is why we worry about Will Smith. Once scientology gets its claws into you it does not let go, ever.
