Lights, Camera, New York!
If you haven’t caught the on-iar promos for New York Goes to Hollywood (premiering August 4 on VH1), you’re in luck: you can watch them above. As in the promo shots for the series, these brief spots find New York hamming it up as classic Hollywood personalities. She’s Dorothy, she’s Marilyn and in a spot that wasn’t used for the still shots, she’s Forrest Gump. That commercial’s actually the best, as New York proclaims, “My mama always said that life is like a box of chocolates…come to find out, that’s the stupidest s*** I ever heard in my life.” Anyone who can find a way to dis Forrest Gump and Sister Patterson in the same sentence clearly has a gift for language. New York, we’re ready to fall in love with you all over again.

Does anybody know the name of singer who performed on SOULTRAIN back in the early 70’s, singing the song: “LIGHTS, CAMERA AND ACTION”? At least I think that’s the name of the song.

Ms. New York (Tiffany):
When one has a chance to effect change then one should do so with class and dignity! You have the potential to eradicate the typical-sterotypical Sassy Black Girl image and show the true inner beauty that GOD created women, particulary those of color, to be.
My charge to you is this:
CONFRONT who you really are in between the “weft” touch ups, lash extentions and war paint that can sometimes prohibit the natural beauty we all possess…
CHALLENGE yourself to trust who you really are when “lights , camera and action” are on hiatus… and strive to improve without a false expected over-enahncement of personality….
Lastly,
CHANGE the way the industry tries to capsulize women of color…yes you can do all that and more to uplift the race by starting with a transparent “REALITY” of yourself!
Read: “Mammy’s ,Bucks, Coons and Mulattos”, google it…..Studying the past can define and devine your future…. know thyself

I have watched all the shows with Miss New York and now I am excited she has one of her own. I really enjoy watching her take on the world. She reminds me of my own independence. She represents me. ( A beautiful Black woman). I’m glad someone like New York is in the limelight to show the world, (Tiffany) good or bad, rough or smooth, fearful and brave yet beloved by people that count. The rest are haters. Forget Diddy, I’d rather work for Tiffany.

Krystal is a jealous hating *#$#~!@@“*^~~+ %()`_`#~^!&#~~$)* She probably wanna be an actress but didn’t get discovered yet. New York is dramatical but, she is making her money and doing her thang. Also, Rock of Love sucks!!! Flavor of Love & I Love New York is better.
Who agrees?
