“Frank get a job! Frank get a job!” The Entertainer’s father’s words undoubtedly play over and over as much in his head as they do as flashbacks on TV. Below, VH1′s favorite 30-year-old-who-lives-with-his-parents talks about life on and off the show: where he is with Destiney, how it felt to lose his chance at emancipation and what it’s like to be back at his parents’ house, a place he affectionately dubbed “hell.”
It was sad on the last episode when you called yourself a loser.
I guess I was kinda making fun of myself. I don’t know if I really meant it. I think I could do better with my life. I want to do better with my life. Who the hell doesn’t? It’s all about having the right people like you, I guess. I don’t know.
On the show, there was also a lot of talk about you being the most hated person in the house. Did you agree with that assessment?
I think it was really exaggerated. As far as I know, Whiteboy was cool with me. No one said anything to my face. If Whiteboy wanted a piece of this and wanted to call me out, let’s do it. I will f***ing do it any day. If Chance wanted to call me out, if Real called me out, let’s do it. They talk about me in the interviews, but you don’t hear me talking about them. You don’t hear me talking about anybody unless I’ve talked to them to their face. I’m not a phony, but these people are. They’re the losers, not me.
Any feelings on the Destiney situation?
Well, I’m going to go deep into it at the reunion, but as far as I’m concerned, I have nothing against her. I wish her the best of luck. She’s the one that did me wrong. She exploded on me and decided that we weren’t going to speak anymore. I don’t talk to her at all. I’m fine with that. It’s like the situation with Heather and 12 Pack. I’m friends with Heather. I love her to death. I can’t say a bad word about her. I read what she said about 12 Pack, and I’m really close with him. I don’t know what happened with them, I don’t even care at this point. But it’s tough. They’re both good people.
Is there any regret over telling Destiney that you loved her on national TV?
Well, I told her, “I love you, too,” and that’s because she said she fell in love with me. It threw me off guard, because I was feeling her. I didn’t want to make her look like an idiot. I probably shouldn’t have said it. I don’t know if I loved her, but I probably could have. The time we had together was great until she came to New York after the show and made an idiot out of me.
Speaking of Heather, did you regret severing your alliance to knock her off?
Here’s what I feel bad about: I wish Heather never came over to me after 12 Pack left and said, “Don’t tell anyone we’re in an alliance.” Everyone knew. When she told me that, it was like s***. And there’s a lot they didn’t show. When I was strategizing with Whiteboy, I told him that we could get rid of Pumkin and Toasteee but not Heather.
It was surprising that you fell first in the pole challenge.
I’m not a man of excuses, but my two fingers I cut on a lawnmower 10, 11 years ago. My tendons are messed up. My hand was numb immediately from grabbing onto the poll. It was sweaty…I just knew I done for before I even got on that pole. But it worked out. Hoopz became Paymaster and so I was going home anyway. I got rid of myself, none of them motherf***ers got rid of me. So, ha ha!
How has this experience been for you, from shooting to the aftermath? Has it changed your life for the better?
I don’t know. I guess I’m waiting to see. I believe in myself. I believe I have talent. I’ve never taking any acting or singing lessons, but I believe I have talent. I never thought about being on TV, but now that I am, I think I’d like to continue to do it and attempt to advance in the TV industry. I can entertain people. That’s why I named myself the Entertainer. Truth be told, my life is happier now than it has been in a long time. And I just want to keep making it better.
You’ve talked about fans annoying you before. Any recent run-ins with annoying viewers?
Actually, I had cops at my house about three days ago. These little punk kids that live around my neighborhood drive up and down the street at 70 miles an hour. It’s a residential street with kids walking around all the time. If these kids want to scream, “The Entertainer sucks,” I really don’t care. Yell it all you want. But this kid was driving so fast, and my mom yelled at him to slow down. He told my mother to go f*** herself. Of course I’m not going to let him say that to my mother. The kid drives around again, I yell at him, he breaks so he slides down the street. He rolls his window down a crack and goes, “What the f*** did you just say to me?” I go to open his car door to drag him out and it was locked. So he drives away, I get his license plate number and call the cops. The kid comes back and says he’s gonna shoot me with a gun. He had a golf club in his car and when the cops asked him what he was doing with it, he told them he was coming to beat the s*** out of me with it. So now I’ve been waiting up all night to come on my lawn. He’s 17, but if he comes on my property, I can do whatever I want, the cop says. I’m gonna sit here like a goddamn rottweiler, like a pit bull. I’ve been waiting to take my aggression out.
Your parents give you a lot of s*** for your situation, but there has to be part of them that’s proud of you. Just listening to your mother talk about the people on the shows leads me to think that she’s a big fan of this stuff.
My mother watches all these shows. She’s a reality junkie. I’ve been a lot with her and my father growing up. I wasn’t always a good person. I didn’t always think straight. I just did things. Now I think before I act. But my mother loves this. She went to the gym and lost weight. She wants a reality show herself.
Is an office job an option for you?
If I was book smart like that. I don’t know who the hell would give me an office job. I’d take one. I’d try my best at it. But my true field is entertainment. My whole life, I’ve been singing and pretending like I was somebody else.
Are you still delivering pizzas?
No! I’m unemployed. Tell everybody. I’m not broke. I’m not rich. I’m doing appearances.
In your exit interview, you talked about going back to the hell that is your parents’ house. Are you in hell now?
Right now, yes I am. I’m still here. I love my mother and father. They have tons of patience with me. Now I want to spread my wings and succeed. If I could make enough money, they would never work again. They deserve that from putting up with my s*** for years and years. But I just need my space now.
Moving forward, are you taking actual steps to improve your quality of life?
Right now, I’m not taking any steps. I broke two of my toes. I’m trying to recuperate. Getting so close to the $250,000 and not winning…believe me, I took it well when I was on the show, but on the plane, I was very upset.
Were you punching yourself?
I was emotional. I let everybody down like always. I just want to change that. That’s all.

It would be about you living with your parents and trying to get a job and getting your own place but the viewers would get to see all the drama of you living with your parents. I think VH1 should do a reality show on “The Entertainer”. I’m not sure what to do but maybe send him on a search for a job or just do a reality show on his whole family. I would like to see him succeed. He looks like he’s the kind of person who would really appreciate it more than anyone else from the ” Love Series’ ” . Who in the HELL is going to watch Chance and Real? Real looks like Eddie Murphy in Vampire in Brooklyn with that ridiculous hair and Chance looks like he belongs in a Juvenile Detention Center! The Entertainer should have his own show. Frank I think you and your family should look into employing an agent and scouting a show for yourselves. YOU GUYS WOULD ROCK!!! Dear Entertainer,
On all the shows that you have been on, I have consistantly heard that you are upset with yourself for being 30 and still living with your parents. Well let me tell you that you can certainly change that. What you should do is go to the library, do some research, and figure out what it is you want to do with your life. After you figure something out, go back to school and get a degree or a certificate. I was once in your position. I was 31 years old, working for a little over minimum wage at Tower Records and living at home with my parents. I finally decided that I was going to change my life. I went back to school for medical billing and was able to quit my job at the record store and I now work full time for a dentist, I met a great guy, moved out of my parents house and got married. It all started with going back to school. It is not too late for you to “find yourself”. It will be the only way you move out of your parents house. Please take my advice because you seem like you are a great guy, you deserve better.
