The Celebreality Interview - Toasteee
Below, the brunette in the blonde alliance talks fighting with food and twisted ankles, her outstanding beef with Megan (”I wanted to rip the ugly right off her face,” she says of their altercation), shaking the porn stigma and why girls calling other girls fat on TV is socially irresponsible. In what could be a Celebreality first, someone displays proof of a conscience! ZOMG!
How was your time on the show?
It was a blast. I had a lot of fun.
Were you surprised to go when you did?
I was. I really thought Megan was going to go home. I’m not mad at Hoopz, but I think she had the chance to get rid of someone who was a big manipulator in the house. I was sneaky, but I think Megan was a lot worse than I was. Pumkin was right when she said that Hoopz was basing her decision on revenge, and that was not the smartest thing to do.
Wasn’t that strange, though, because so much time had passed between Chance’s elimination and then? Was it a matter of revenge or using revenge as an excuse?
I think it was an excuse as well. I don’t think she was even that good of friends with Chance.
One thing that was unclear happened at the beginning of this week’s episode in the vault. Everyone voted on Whiteboy and you, and obviously you made it in the box, but we never saw a vote on Pumkin.
I think it was just because they voted for me first. I really thought Megan was going home, so I was confident and didn’t protest. There was nothing we could have done, anyway. But I did get a raw deal on that. Everyone else who was ever in the box got a chance to talk to the Paymaster at a Power Outing, and I didn’t ever get the chance to try to convince Hoopz to keep me in the game.
You and Pumkin betrayed your secret alliance with Brandi and Megan. Was that just inevitable?
I knew eventually it would be me and Pumkin versus Brandi and Megan, but I didn’t know it would be that soon. Hoopz was the Paymaster and three people had to go in the box. She was not going to vote off Whiteboy or Real. We had no choice but to turn on each other. Brandi probably would have been safe if she did turn on Megan. Megan and Brandi were never my friends. We just used them as far as we could and it had to end at some point.
It all came to a head with your food fight.
I wish they would have showed more of that on TV. A lot of the stuff in the extras merited being on TV, like the pool fight. I’ll be the first to admit that we were acting like first-graders. That’s probably why it was such funny s***. Pumkin and I were basically trying to get Brandi and Megan worked up enough to hit us or quit. And Brandi did quit and Megan did lay her hands on me. Sure, I played it up a bit. My fake ankle thing probably clued people in on the fact that I can fake an injury pretty well. But she still laid her hands on me and reviewing the tape made that clear. It kinda pissed me off. I know for a fact that if it was me doing that to her, I would have been thrown out. But I didn’t hit her back because the rules say you can’t hit people. I wanted to rip the ugly right off her face.
Whatever happened with your fake ankle twist, anyway? I thought you were going to be limping around for the rest of your time on the show, but by the next episode, you were acting fine again.
Nobody caught on ever! They had so many other things to worry about that no one second guessed it. I played it up for two days and then I dropped it completely.
You gave Megan an earful upon leaving. Do you still resent her?
I haven’t thought about her since we filmed the show, but watching the fight again, you start to feel the same way. The anger comes back. The reunion is going to be interesting. I have a lot to say to her, and I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to do yet.
Brandi said that you “just went along with whatever Pumkin was doing.” Do you agree?
That’s ridiculous of her to say because she just went along with what Megan was doing. Pumkin and I were pretty equal. If anything, I think I was more in charge because I was the Paymaster more.
Do you regret eliminating 12 Pack?
I really didn’t want to let him go. That was a hard choice and I’m still good friends with him. If I could go back and keep him around and get rid of Whiteboy, maybe I would. But you never know how that sort of thing is going to pan out. And 12 Pack really was giving his word out pretty freely.
The biggest question, I think, is how many “E”s go on the end of “Toasteee.” I spell it with three because that’s what Flav did initially, but it’s printed as “Toastee” on I Love Money.
Flav did give me three, but I think there were two on the clock. Then in Charm School it went to two. I don’t know, it’s all confusing. I prefer two “E”s.
And speaking of that, isn’t it weird that we started calling you “Jen” as a result of Charm School, and now it’s back to Toasteee again?
Well, I was only on three episodes of Charm School. I think everyone is used to me as Toasteee. I like Toasteee, it’s a cute name.
What are you looking at now? Are you still aiming to go to med school?
Yeah. That’s still my main goal. I really don’t have the time to devote to going full-time now. I’m only 24, and I think I need to take whatever opportunities come along now. I’ve gotten some offers, some films that I’m going to follow through with. But they aren’t porn. (Laughs)
Do you think that I Love Money has done anything to eradicate the porn stigma that’s followed you since Flavor of Love?
People bring it up, but not nearly as much as they used to. I think people see me as a different person now. But even the way I acted on I Love Money, getting rid of Destiney and backstabbing…that’s not the way I’d act toward a friend. But it’s not about friendship. It’s about money. I’m not a liar in real life. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do when it comes to money.
Is there anything else that we didn’t go over that you wanted to say?
Yes. It really bothered me when Brandi called Pumkin fat. The fat comments were the most disgusting thing about the entire show. Pumkin’s not fat. I’m not fat. Brandi is heavier than I am and she’s had liposuction. But I wouldn’t even call her fat. Her calling us fat is why so many girls in our country have eating disorders. A lot of the show’s audience is impressionable teenage girls. It’s not like I expect I Love Money to be a socially responsible program, but I’m sure there are girls who are fans of Brandi and Megan and who look up to them. I don’t want those girls to develop eating disorders and self-image issues because Megan and Brandi frown upon people who eat. Eating disorders are such a big problem and that really hurt.

Admittedly, I didn’t care for Toastee at all on “I Love Money” (I especially didn’t like how she tried to victimize herself with the whole Nibblz outing her porn career, when in “Flavor of Love” Toastee was the one who started the rumor of Nibblz doing sexual things with Flav… but I digress… and watch TOO much reality TV) but this interview really humanized her, and helped her gain some respect in my eyes. my oh my! The only thing huge about both buck tooth pumkin and for your viewing pleasure toastee are that they’re hypocrites! Faking an injury, saying you have an eating disorder (ring a bell when they were in the box when Destiney was pay master) Whatever Hoopz reason was the fact is that she kept Megan because she gave her word. As did Pumkin and Toastee with Destiney and as soon as she was in the box, they didn’t do jack to save her. For Toastee to act all high & mighty now is crap. She was there acting just as horrible, all it comes down to is that it came back and bit them in their behinds first. What kills me the most is how pumkin and her calling everyone else sluts and how they can work a poll, etc. HELLO PUMKIN?? Have you ever sat down and watched your behavior on all these shows? Truth is nobody on these shows have to say anything to make her look bad, she does that all on her own. One thing is true; what goes around comes around. They both got what they deserved, It sucks that it didn’t happen sooner. Total waste of air time.

I haven’t forgot how Toastee and Pumkin tried their hardest to get rid of Hoopz! I was so surprised at Pumkin since she and Hoopz were suppose to be such good”friends” and in an alliance. I know by now Hoopz has watched that episode and realized that she did the right thing by getting rid of them. And Pumkin should stop trying to be all hard because she’s not. I’m sure if it was okay to hit, Meghan would have worn her a-ss out.

The second she got rid of Destiney, Toastee was toast to me! I did like her until then. I never liked Pumkin she is just GHETTO! And I didnt like Megan but I found myself wantin her to stay around over Toastee and Pumpkin, cause they were so ghetto in the way they played the game. Toastee coulda done alot better had she not alighned hersled with Pumkin. I think Hoopz wins the money though, although I would like to see WHiteboy or MEgan win. and I use to not like MEgan, she seemed so fake and for the cameras but she played this game better than anyone else. So right there I give her props. Toastee had that same game but like I said, alighning herself with Pumkin was her downfall. Good luck to Toastee, shes cute and I hope I see more of her but not with Pumkin, she is white trash. I think Pumkin woulda turned on Toastee and its too bad that didnt get the chance to happen so Toastee coulda seen what Pumpkin was really about…I mean werent her and Hoopz tight and then she turns on her. Toastee needs to be quiet. First of all, Pumkin was the one who made fun of New York on the first season of Flavor of Love because New York had gained weight on the show.
