Last night’s Hip Hop Honors show was insane — from the famous people lovefest on the red carpet to the floor-shaking renditions of some of the greatest songs in hip-hop. One of the most touching moments of the evening was when Cee-Lo, Estelle, Mos Def, Chuck D, Scarface and the Roots performed a heartfelt medley of the late, great Isaac Hayes‘ songs. But while it was nothing but love and respect last night, the Roots’ ?uestlove remembered some very different feelings about Hayes at this week’s rehearsals.
