After withstanding the bashing of her dead mother over the course of two episodes (courtesy of Ki Ki), Lusty was accused of being crazy and sent packing by Real. Yep, things weren’t so easy on Real Chance of Love‘s busty babe, although she reflects on her time in “hell” with a surprising amount of humor. Below, Lusty talks about not letting the show break her down, the resentment she holds for Ki Ki, why she’d never cut a penis off anyone and how Real doesn’t really know the meaning of the worst “exorcist.”
How was your experience on the show?
It was very different. I don’t want to talk negative about it, but um…it was like hell.
What was so hellish?
In a house of several different personality traits and different age groups, the challenging part was people understanding what the f*** I was saying. I had a hard time expressing myself, and I thought I was talking loud enough for people to understand. People didn’t know some of the words I was saying, and it’s not like I have a big vocabulary.
Are you saying that you were on a different intellectual level than most of the other girls?
Yes.
The primary focus of your grief was Ki Ki, right?
Yes. At the beginning, I felt like my tone was relaxed and laid-back to start with. I just asked her a question. After she popped off at the mouth, I was still laid-back. It was like, it’s not this serious. Don’t be so aggressive. If I have beef, I let it go. I refuse to allow society or anything in this world to make me unhappy or get a rise out of me over nothing. I express myself and I walk away. Ki Ki was still making little comments throughout the day. It was like high school. But I was glad she said everything in front of everyone, so everyone could get to know how ignorant she was.
What did you think of her apology?
Very fake. There wasn’t any sincerity at all. I knew that when she hugged me. I smirked to myself like, “That was fake.”
Was it upsetting that you went home instead of her?
Yeah. I believe I was misunderstood in the house. It’s very puzzling to me how girls going to Real and saying things about me, like I was the devil, got him to take their side. It was like, where is Real getting his information, that I’m possessed and the exorcist. If I were the exorcist, I would have tamed all the devils in the house. Don’t you think?
I don’t think Real understands who the exorcist is.
Right? If that were the case, we’d live a peaceful existence.
Beyond the exorcist accusations, there was a general idea that you were crazy. Care to comment on that?
I keep asking myself what people are seeing when they’re looking at me? Is it the eyes? I thought for the longest time that the way I looked was sexy. I didn’t know it was scary! (Laughs) I feel that when people say things like that, they have a fear because maybe I can see their bulls*** and read them.
It’s nice that you can laugh about it. Some people let these shows break them.
If you allow reality TV to take over your true identity, it can break you. But if you really know yourself and you can separate yourself from what people are seeing, you’ll be fine. I know who I am, so I refuse to let people bring me down.
Very early on, we saw you talking to yourself, so maybe that planted the crazy seed?
If I was answering myself, holding deep conversations, like, “Lusty, I can’t believe these girls are acting this way, can you?” “I don’t know, Lusty!” In that case, I’d say I was crazy. But if I’m talking out loud, which everyone has done even if they weren’t conscious. So I just swept that under the carpet. If people want to think I’m crazy, so be it.
You voiced your concern to Real over Cornfed’s lack of experience with black men and black people in general. Did that really reflect your beliefs, or was it just strategy?
For me, strategy. This is a competition. Of course, I’m going to bring everything to light. When something like this would happen, women in the house would be like, “I thought you were my friend. I can’t believe you’d go back and say things.” But at least I don’t lie about having said anything. I just wanted Real to look at all the factors in each woman. I was competing with Cornfed for his attention. I just wanted him to think about it. So he did, and he made his choice.
Real compared you to Lorena Bobbitt. What’d you think of that?
When I was massaging him, I just knew that the conversation was going left. I was trying to be sincere. I wasn’t expecting questions like, “Are you mentally stable?” What the hell? What kind of man asks a female who is massaging his ass, in a romantic setting, “Have you ever killed someone?” But to be compared to a woman who chopped somebody’s penis off? I love penises. I would never chop a penis, especially if it’s good to me.
Did that affect your attraction to Real?
It did. Even before that, when I was talking to him in the kitchen about what Ki Ki said about my mother, I don’t feel that there was any sincerity there. It was more of a brush-off. “Next! You got some alcohol?”
Did watching this show bring up old feelings?
I started tearing up when I watched the beginning of my fight with Ki Ki. She hit wounds that are still healing. Also, to see two black women arguing over some bulls***, it was uncalled for. It could have gone down totally differently. And then to see this week’s episode. To see that she has a mother that she can go to. And talk to. Call up and ask for advice. She has a mother she calls, “Mommy.” It’s not fair. For her to stoop so low and to be so callous and manipulative…if we were out and she said those things about my mother, of course I would beat her ass down. A part of me wants to kick her ass at the reunion, but do I really want to do it on national TV? I’m not intimidated by her. Don’t let the nice face fool you. I’m a firecracker and I’ll step to anyone who’s disrespectful. The problem was that this was between her and I. My mom had nothing to do with it. Who’s the devil?
Did you get anything positive out of this experience?
I found out a lot about myself, especially because there’s no TV or radio in the house. Being around a lot of different personalities, I had to detox when I came back to Atlanta. But at least I learned more about me.

Lusty, a lot of people tend to misunderstand when we don’t expect it. I thought that you were a sensual lady that tended to scare at times. But from what I saw, you were a sweet person. When KiKi said those horrible things about your mom, that crossed the line, especially when your mom has passed away. May she rest in peace. Lusty was a real woman, and REal missed out, I dont know her personally but I know her person, she is alot like me, and I admire her composure, and not letting anyone get the best of her. KiKi is totally ghetto and I have to wonder why Real chooses her over Lusty. I just dont get it, but at the same time, Lusty deserves a really good man. I hope she gets that. Or whatever she wants out of life. She is a beautfiul person inside and out, and I think her demenor came off as crazy but I thought she was brilliant. I was very impressed by Lusty. I thought she handled herself the best way possible. I think it’s unfortunate that a person like Kiki is allowed to stay in a reality show like this. What kind of message is that sending? Kiki brings down the show and makes it look trashy. I too lost my mother at a young age, so I completely identify with Lusty. She is a deeper human being than Kiki simply because of the loss she suffered. Not to mention she has a more sophisticated vocabulary and more class. When a girl loses her mother in death, particularly at a young age, a deeper character in her is created that the world sees because she is more vulnerable. However, I believe this makes her more special, more tender, and obviously a more dear and sensitive person for having gone through the loss and remembering her mother in such a beloved way. The fact that Real couldn’t see this and thought Lusty had “issues” that she needed to work on, I think reveals that Lusty is much better off now. She’s a beautiful young woman with a genuine heart, which is rare. It’s a shame that Kiki is on the show. She’s the equivalent of white trash. By the way, I am white.
