Final New Kids “Ultimate Fan” Found!
It’s been a wild autumn here a VH1.com for New Kids fans. We’ve been searching for four zealots who loved them some NKOTB, and yep, after sifting through loads of pictures and reading loads of notes, we found them all. The last winner is Blair Braman. She’ll be heading to a performance and hanging with Jon, Jordan, Donnie, Joey, and Danny during a meet ‘n’ greet session. Here’s Blair’s note. Obviously she’s come full circle.
“I recently went to a concert in Cleveland and just about got the beat down for my poster I made. I tried so hard for Donnie to see it. I was asked many times by girls bigger than me to take it down! I tried and tried. At one point, people even pulled me down to their row so I could wave it around. And also tried to get their attention. Please help me meet NKOTB! Besides, Donnie did say he wanted to meet all the girls he sang Cover Girl to. Yes, the little girl in the picture is me when I was 7!”

I agree. What the hell. The entry my friend and I submitted would’ve had a chance if we would’ve violated the rules and had more than 50 words. Instead, we chose to abide by the regulations in the contest rules and didn’t get so much as a “thanks for playin.” Good to know for next time, I guess.

1. This violates the terms and conditions; therefore, it should be disqualified and a new winner chosen.

No one is mad at Blair, just the opposite, good for her. It’s just for those of us that read the rules several times and did our utmost to follow them, it is disheartening to see that someone who didn’t follow the rules won. What’s the point of squeezing our best fan moment into 2 lines if the judges pay no attention?!?!

I believe they changed the rules at some point, so that it stated that we needed to keep the entry letter as short as possible. AND Everyone went through all this anyways with Kimberly’s entry!!!! Who cares! THIS ONE definatly deserved to win! Congrats Blair!

Oh well for the rest of us, but I just wanted to keep it real with all the ladies who tried to enter this contest and didn’t win. Blair did have her meet n greet and thats cool she gets to go and meet them again, but I just thought I should share the truth with the rest of yall. I didn’t know or think that we should or could make up stories to enter this contest, and allthough a part of me feels like a snitch I am more gung ho about keeping this funky and real. How is VH1 being “duped”? Obviousily, you (Brandy) got to meet them as well, so would that mean anyone who purchased 5 star from ILAA should have been disqualified as well as YOU? That is stupid! VH1 was asking for the Ultimate Fan. So, Blair isn’t an ultimate fan because she got to meet Donnie? They NEVER stated in the rules that if you have ever met them, you cannot enter! I met Joe back in 89, so I shouldn’t have entered? Have fun Blair, ignore the haters! Its gonna be a blast!

I didn’t buy a 5* I actually won a radio contest thats how I went to the soundcheck. I didn’t go to the vip party, but I did get to meet them. The only thing I was saying is that she lied on her entry but It did sound like a good story. That was the whole point to my comment is that her story was bulls*#$%!!! She said she wanted to meet him so he could see her sign but she did meet him and the others. So her entry to vh1 and the fact of her winning was based on a lie, period point blank. So Nikki I was keepin it funky and telling the truth. Mind ya business lady. Bee

Brandy- Fortunate for me, my family IS my buisness! BLAIR DIDN’T LIE. Everything she says in her story is oh so very true. We were in our seats, she DID try to get Donnies attention while he was singing cover girl, some girl threatened her, the people in front of us grabbed her to get her away from the threatening girl and helped her try to get Donnies attention. No where in her entry did she, as you stated, say “said she wanted to meet him so he could see her sign”. So your fabrication of suggesting that she lied, is just a bad accusation! Her story is 100% true. And its kinda weird, that out of the 100’s of girls that were at sound check, you singled HER out! The sound check was far from a meet and greet, but Im glad you got to meet them! Please don’t accuse my sister of lying anymore, she has many people who can back her story up! What you are trying to do is just flat out MEAN!

Um it was only like 25 people if that at the soundcheck first of all and second..she made it seem that she wanted to meet him and the group and show them her sign. “”"I tried so hard for Donnie to see it. I am happy for anyone who is lucky enough to get this opportunity, but just keep it real, I am sure it was thousands of other women who had ultimate fan stories who didn’t get the opportunity but kept their stories 100 % real, Good for Blair happy for her, but other honest stories were submitted, hers to me was just misleading. The other 20 some odd people in the soundcheck saw her when she pulled out her sign and he held it looked at it hugged her, etc…. All I am sayin is keep it real and her story was not the real period. I agree with several of you. I also submitted and “followed” the rules with 50 words or less. I have to say that I think less of VH1 now because of it.

Okay. I was going to make it short and simple as I did above. However, this entire contest has been frustrating. I think many of us have been frustrated. Why choose someone who already had a great experience! I think it is great that she was his “Cover Girl” how about allowing someone else who had a fabulous story and not a meeting with the guys to have a shot. Okay. I am done venting.

BRANDY~ I have pics showing how many people were at sound check. Way more than 25!
Im not going to discuss this with you anymore. Her story was true, whether you like it or not, and your “side” of the story differs greatly. Everyone has complained about each and every entry, so why should my sisters be any different. She will have a great time, and for those that are happy for her, thank you! I was soooooo very happy for her! I entered as well, and didn’t win. 4 winners were chosen out of hundreds. There comes a time, where ya just gotta be happy for other people that get what YOU want, and Kharma will come around to those who are greedy and try to hurt other people, whether it be words, lies or trying to discredited someone else by saying that they lied.
I can only hope that the winners take these comments with a grain of salt, and went on and had a great time! Congrats again to EVERYONE that won! Hope your memories totally out shine the nasty comments left on this site.

Nikki I also have pics of the soundcheck and your right it wasn not 25 people but at the most 30. I also said I was happy for Blair, the point to my comment is that weather or not NIkki you want to keep it 100% funky is that she was misleading. She wanted to win this contest to meet Donnie and the group, PLEASE LET ME MEET NKOTB, Donnie wants to meet all the girls he sang cover girl to, I tried for him to see my sign I moved down closer and other were trying to get his attention, blah blah blah, He saw her sign at the soundcheck when she showed it to him and after he hugged her and talked to her etc……. The thing that is sooo funny is that you couldn’t get into the soundcheck unless u won a contest, oh I forgot she never won anything, I guess u feel justified with your “story” Nikki but It is people who know the truth, I mean are u claiming she didn’t meet them in cleveland? I see she left that part out in her entry, just that she went to the concert and tried to get his attention with her sign is a false misleading statement if she met him and he saw it, IT IS BLACK N WHITE. Ok, so I thought the rules said 50 words or less??? Almost every winner went well over 50 words. What’s up with that??? It was so hard for me (and I’m sure others) to try to get their stories down to 50 words! It doesn’t seem fair that VH1 picked winners that didn’t follow the rules. It seems like they just randomly picked entries or something. Whatever.

All of you should consider yourselves lucky that you have even seen them in concert this time around, I’m in Australia and we’re still trying to get the guys here, while most of you are wanting more concerts.
Be grateful that you’ve had the chance to see them in concert and meet them,others haven’t been so lucky and we can’t enter these contests.

Seriously…i landed on this site by mistake just searching NKOTB on the net…but WOW!!! Get a freakin life people! Who cares who won, who cares if they went over 50 words and you didn’t…did you ever think that maybe it was a “guidline” so people didn’t ramble on for ever. There are millions of girls that would love to meet NKOTB, some will, some wont…why some of you are wasting your time hating those who have is plain stupid. GROW UP!!!!
