To celebrate the watershed moment of Barack Obama’s swearing in as our 44th president, we’re presenting an open forum for users to discuss the inaugural event. Throughout the day there will be posts on the past weekend’s parties, and the historic importance of the inauguration itself. Field operatives in DC will twitter about street scenes, and the keep us up on the mood of the capital. It’s all up for grabs: politics, culture, and the arts. I don’t understand how the President did not acknowledge his grandparents or mother for her role in his life and helping him become the man he is today!!!

FIRST I DID NOT LIKE OBAMA CAUSE I THOUGH HE ONLY GOT THERE BY BEING BLACK BUT THEN I HEAR HIS SPEECHS ANDI SAID WOW HE SOUNDS LIKE MATIN LUTHER KNG JR. MY HERO SO I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN HE BECOME PRESDENT . HIS SPEECH MOVE ME SO MUCH I ALMOST CRIED
