The Celebreality Interview - Myammee

In one of the most heated finales in VH1 history, Myammee overtook Tailor Made to win I Love Money and, more importantly, the $250,000. Below, we talk to Myammee about what she plans to do with the money, the importance of hair, and her time on the show: clashes, back-stabs and alliances, alike.

Here is here is how I see the situation: on Flavor of Love 3 you were done pretty dirty…

Yeah, I was set up by a whole bunch of tramps that wished they looked like me but…

…but this show you won. You’re vindicated. Does it feel like that?

It is still kind of unreal to me right now, because as someone coming from my background, someone who grew up in Miami-Dade, Liberty City, you would never expect somebody like me to really win. I just want everybody to know that it’s really like you can win it. If you just put your mind to it, you really can get it done. You just have to make sure you stay focused and have the right people around you.

What was key to your success?

I came not to make any friends (even though I did). I came to try and win the money the best I could. And I did what I had to do to get it done, in all areas. Of course, I had a couple people around me motivating me to keep going even though I wanted to quit and say f*** it. Tailor Made kept me there.

There were also people there who were attempting to do the opposite. Any regrets that you grabbed Buckwild’s face?

No, because where I’m from, grabbing somebody’s face is way worse than punching somebody in the face. At home they were like, “Damn, I would’ve told you to just punch me in the face before you did that.”

So that was a sign of supreme disrespect?

Yes, disrespect. In Miami, if somebody put a finger on your head, that is more disrespectful than getting punched. So I’m happy I did it. I wanted to do more, but of course I was there to win the money.

You cried a lot, which was surprising. Were any of those tears fake?

No tears were fake.

Not even when you were crying like, “Oh Ice!”

Even though the blog said it was fake, no, it was not fake. I felt real bad because I raised my hand for her and she didn’t do the same. Like, “Damn I just voted for you. You’re not gonna vote for me?” So I cried a lot when she left and felt like it was my fault. She is still my girl to this day and she kind of forgave me about it because she understood it was a game.

It’s a dirty game too. You gotta do dirty things in a dirty game.

A dirty game, a wet game, all of that above.

She told me that if you win, which you did, you owe her 10 G’s. Are you gonna give it to her?

I don’t know about 10. (Laughs)

You should take her on vacation or something right?

I will take her out. She is in school, so I’ll probably give her a semester or two before doing that.

Is she your main dog from the show?

She is the only person I still get in contact to this day with. And she is just a cool girl. She just understood my situation. Even though it was very sad…like I really cried, for real. Like seriously.

Yeah. Even when you poked yourself in the eye.

I didn’t poke myself in the eye!

Single tear, streaming down.

I was trying to hurry up for my mascara stuff. I didn’t want to look ugly crying, I mean, no. So I tried to put my hair up there and wipe it real fast. Stuff like that.

Why did you clash with with Saaphyri and Buckwild so hard?

Saaphyri was jealous. Look at her, look at me. Put us side by side. There’s no comparison. She was so into It, and she knew how he was flirting with everybody in the house. Baby, I don’t want It. It? What can I do with him? Nothing. I guess she was jealous of the fact that we were cool.

Were you interested in anybody?

No. Craig was kinda cute, but the dudes in the house were wack. They’re not my type. Whiteboy, if he was on this season, you probably woulda seen something go down.

That’s very Megan of you, just like the lingerie.

Oh my God. Do not start with this girl and this lingerie! First of all, let me talk about Whiteboy. Whiteboy’s from Miami, so I’m used to that type of swag, anyway. Second of all, me like her? I would never be. I wore lingerie on Flavor of Love 3 during the second episode. I didn’t know we could walk around in it till I saw her ass on the TV! I’m like, if they can let her walk around in the bathing suit, they can let me walk around in my damn lingerie. That’s what I was trying to say, but then everyone took it and twisted it, like, “Oh, you tryin’ to be like Megan.” I would never try to be like anybody. I’m me. Myammee is always Myamee.

Do you like Megan?

She’s cool. I don’t have anything against her because I don’t know her. But I’m not trying to be like her. We’re two different markets. Like: no.

What about Becky?

I don’t even want to discuss her. She’s like nothing. I don’t even see her. Who is that?

On the other hand, you were uncommonly tight with Tailor Made.

He was kinda like my big brother in the house. He kept me grounded. I kept him grounded, fashionably right. I got mad love for him.

As soon as the Pretty Girl Alliance dissolved, you went right back to plotting with him.

‘Cause the s*** didn’t work out! It was like, OK. Me, Prancer and Ice can vote for him, but that’s only three votes. Angelique’s not gonna vote for him. It’s not gonna vote for him. So that s*** had to go down the drain then and there. I knew that if one of them went, I still had to be with somebody else, so I chose to stay with Tailor Made.

At what point did you know that you had it in the bag?

The only time that I thought I was winning was when I got the dummy out of the water after I melted the ice. When I was doing the questions and getting the s*** f***ed up and Tailor Made was on his way up the stairs, I thought I was done. I couldn’t get that last question for nothing. Then something said, “Bonez,” and that was it.

Those tears seemed real.

Those were real. I still get teary-eyed about it. I still can’t understand. I thought the s*** was going to turn out rigged, but this is living proof that if you do the s*** right and stop trying to be somebody’s friend and stop trying to be in love and stop trying to do all this other s*** you not supposed to be coming there for, you can really win. Just focus on you and let God take care of everything else and you’ll be all right.

You alliance took you to the end.

It was really hard to believe that it was going to do that, because the “loudmouths” were crazy. But the good thing about them is that they talked so much that they revealed too much. We laid back and didn’t talk too much. They had no idea what we were thinking.

Any regrets when it comes to your eliminations?

No regrets. I’m happy I got rid of Prancer, I’m happy I got rid of 20. I went against Tailor Made and It at the end. If I would have kept one of those other people, I probably wouldn’t have won or it would have been a greater challenge.

You eliminated Prancer because she was a threat, right?

Yeah. I mean, I think I still could have taken her, but I thought I owed Tailor Made to stay there. I was going off my emotions and something inside said, “What are you doing? Keep Prancer here.” But I thought that since he kept me here, he deserved a chance to try to win. I knew if I was meant to win, I would.

I thought what you said to Saaphyri when you didn’t eliminate her was hilarious.

It was like, “Bitch, you better be happy I kept you here. You still arguing. Shut up! I’m not keeping you here so you can win, I’m keeping you here so I can embarrass you and outrun your fat ass. You won’t be winning unless we have to hang from another f***in’ buoy.” I can’t believe she did that. But she got, like, extra skin, so that kinda helped her stay up there. The rest of us were getting chafed.

Do you look back on this as a difficult experience?

Nah. I kinda cruised along good. I’m happy the way everything turned out.

What are you going to do with your prize money?

Everybody wants to know how does Myammee change her hair like 1,000 times in one episode? I came up with this way that lets you take off your hair and put it on whenever you want to put on. Right now, it’s kind of bootleg how I do it. But with the money I plan to get it manufactured right, you know, get a patent and everything. I don’t want to reveal how to do it.

But it is a method.

It is a method that I came up with and can’t wait to get manufactured and get a how-to video and all that type of stuff. I want the ladies to know that it’s not about how much you spend on your hair, but how it looks and how you take care of it. You know stuff like that.

Besides that, do you have any plans for the money?

I’m thinking about opening up a shop in Miami: a hair salon and a shop on the other side. I have to clear out my debt so I can get these business loans. Once I do that, handle my student loans and stuff, I should be fine. Family, of course.

Are you going to indulge?

I’ll get me a massage here and there, and maybe a facial, but I’m not gonna blow it. I’m not that kind of person. I came from nothing. I never had it, but I’m not gonna throw it away. That s*** was hard to get.

Tailor Made told me out of everybody that you deserved the money the most.

Wow…I kinda guess so? I didn’t know he said that. Wow. OK. That’s why I’m happy I at least gave him a chance. Prancer wouldn’t say no s*** like that.

Are you still modeling?

Here and there. Right now, I’m focused on longevity. Like, where am I gonna be 10 years from now? I don’t want to work at Hooters forever. It’s a great job, but I don’t want to be there forever. I don’t want to have to depend on modeling gigs and appearances for the next five years. I wanna do something that will take me to the end.
