The Celebreality Interview – Fox

Cue the theme song! Fox eventually became a target on the show, but not before he was booted for maybe still being in a kinda-sorta relationship with a woman whom may or may not be known as Wolverina. Fox sets the record straight below and talks about drunkenness, bronzer and, of course, being a hairdresser.

How was your time on the show?

It was a bittersweet experience. I was excited to be on the show. Watching Rock of Love in the beginning, you know, seeing Daisy, I just thought I could relate to her. I couldn’t wait to meet her ’cause there would be fireworks.

It must have been flattering to being named Fox on account being good-looking.

I assumed it was because I was quick and sly. Maybe she liked my fox tail.

Did you really assume that?

Uh, no. I’m not really all about looks, really.

Really?

I’m just pretty much about personality. But, I mean it is what it is, and I’m very flattered to be called that. I don’t want words put in my mouth.

Was it stressful when all the guys were plotting to get you out and throwing water on you, and freaking out generally?

Well, I totally deserved it.

Oh really? So you admit fault?

Yeah, I don’t blame them. Having my ex-girlfriend calling the show, at first I was totally speechless. My relationship was on the rocks, you know, but that doesn’t justify what I did. I admit that lying was a cowardly thing to do, obviously. But we all have skeletons in our closet. No one’s perfect.

Sure. Was there anything about the way that that played out on TV that we didn’t get to see?

Relationships are never black and white. By the end of the day, she wasn’t the one for me. I had to do what I had to do. I met Daisy before Daisy of Love at a club in San Jose. I went to that club specifically for her. And right when I made eye contact with her, I hung out for a little moment and I locked lips with her and I felt the spark and that’s when I knew I wanted to fight for her love.

Did she remember you once she saw you on the show?

Yes, she did. I’m pretty sure she did.

Were you worried about the physical threat of having the whole house turn against you?

To be honest with you, I was really f***ing belligerently drunk. I was hammered at that time. I was numb. My brain was Jell-O. But if I was sober in that situation I definitely would have handled it differently.

What would you have done?

I would have defended myself a little bit more.

Obviously, the worst-case scenario happened: you were found out. Did you think you’d really get away with lying so much about your situation?

I could have got away with it if I wasn’t so hammered. You know, I’m not with her. I do not have a girlfriend. I’m looking for love right now. I mean, I was living with her at the time, and that’s what brought me down.

Who is Wolverina?

Who is Wolverina? I don’t know maybe, she, or maybe he, was an X-Men comic book.

So wait, it was code?

Uh, you know what, I think it was just an X-Men comic…uh, person.

You talked about doing hair a lot. Is that a badge of pride that you wear? Is it something that you talk about a lot?

That was definitely editing. But, I mean it’s just something I’ve done for the past nine years, and I was just very blessed working in an industry that I loved doing day in and day out. And you know, that’s pretty much it. I’m very fortunate to have a job that I love doing.

You seem relatively high maintenance when it comes to your appearance. Do you think it’s fair to say that?

You know, looks are everything when you do hair. I love making people feel good and looking good, and that’s my job and that’s what I do.

Do you usually wear blush when you aren’t on TV?

That wasn’t blush. That was actually a bronzer.

Were you sad about not being in the running for Daisy’s heart anymore? Did it take any kind of emotional toll?

I was. I was sad, knowing the fact that I couldn’t, you know, get any closer. And uh, you know, come closer to the runnings.

What about the guys? Did you bond with any of them?

I made some cool friends on the show, and I hope they feel the same way about me. I’m actually kind of still blurry from 12 Pack spraying me in the eyes with that cologne. You get a bunch of alpha males in that one household with that one hot chick, there’s gonna be some f***ing drama, hands down. And you know, as it’s process of elimination, and it get smaller and smaller, it starts getting negative and drama starts to happen.

In the show-and-tell episode when you gave Daisy something and it was never revealed what you gave her? What was that?

Um, it was actually a banana…that vibrated. If there was anyone that could pull that off, it was Fox, hands down. I mean if someone else tried it, they would have been f***ing kicked out. For sure.

Why is it that you’re able to get away with that kind of thing?

I guess it’s my humorousness. Or maybe it was the name Fox that kind of gave me the confidence to give her the banana that was vibrating. But at least I got attention. That’s what I mainly wanted. You know, I wanted to get whipped by her, I wanted to get spanked. I just wanted some alone time with her in a naughty way.

Did you end up getting any of that naughty alone time with her as the show went on?

Oh, of course. Yeah.

I don’t know if it was part of the drunkenness, but can you shed any light on what you meant by “times are endless?”

Oh f***. I was just rambling and rambling, ’cause I was so hammered. I was belligerent. I like really do not like watching this last episode. I didn’t like how I looked when I had to make my last appearance. You know, ’cause everything I was saying didn’t make sense and then you hear “Fox, Fox.” And then you hear the music in the background.

What did you think of that theme song? It must be kind of flattering to have theme song, right?

Yea, I was totally flattered to get the theme song. Uh, right when I first heard that theme song, I got goose bumps. I was like, “Oh my god, this is hilarious.” I was actually waiting for someone else on the cast to get a theme song as well. I was just fortunate to have my own theme song and me being the only character in the cast to have that song.

How do you feel about your portrayal overall?

I felt that people think that I’m the self-centered, conceited, cocky guy, when, in all honesty, I’m a really cool, down-to-earth person. It seems like I’m like this, drunk, dumb, stylish, hairstylist guy. I mean, being known as a douche bag, is not cool.

Do you watch yourself and laugh?

Yes, I do. It’s hilarious. But when I saw the last episode, I actually cringed. With the whole drunkenness, and lookin’ all drunk. I don’t want people to think that’s how my personality is…sober. I want to set that record straight, first and foremost. Some people were saying “Was he high on weed?” “Was he smoking marijuana?” “Does he really talk like that?” No. I was hammered. I just want to let people know that I was binge drinking on that show.
