Did you know that there was a person integral to the foundation of Def Jam, who wasn’t part of the elite group of the label’s bosses saluted at this year’s Hip Hop Honors (premiering Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 9/8c)? Well, there wasn’t, but that’s not going to keep HHH host Tracy Morgan from pretending that there was anyway. In the clip above, he plays Scoopy Giles, the “fifth Beatle or the sixth Jackson or the invisible fourth Tony! Toni! Toné! also named Tony” to Def Jam’s legacy. He’s interviewed by Nancy Grace, who it turns out, is an actual real person.

That Tony Toni Tone bit was great. Also “the rest is mystery… nah mystery, I blacked out and I don’t remember anything after that not at all…”
Tracy is funny, and one of the most under appreciated comedians.
