I just want to say congrads on the Anvil movie on VH1. I happened to turn on the TV and pass by the documentry. I paused for a few seconds expecting to turn it, and found myself glued, watching the whole program.

It is an inspiring story of people, who despite the mountain and obstacles in front of them that begged them to give up, they believed in the dream and ‘rocked’ on; this is a movie of invaluable lessons in perseverance, dedication and even love.

Thanks for your work on finding this gem and giving these guys a chance – when nearly everyone else gave up on them. I was rooting for them all throughout the movie, and now I hear they will be on Conan O’Brien on Oct. 6. Two thumbs up! I will tune in!!!

Supporting them on iTunes as well.

Cheers!
Mark

Why didn’t the industry recognize the pure rock power of this band? They are great, finally getting thier due.

Was a teenager when they started, never heard of them then and never really liked that kind of Hard Rock (more like Acid Rock)and now I know why, looking at their song !^)#*“`+“&_+% les. They should be wearing shirts in their picture they have posted on VH1′s website…they look too old…disgusting and believe me I’d rather see Steven Tyler with his shirt open then them! If they get a following, good for them, they’ve been together a long time, up there with the Stones but their songs are something less to be desired for me! Nice though that they’re playing smaller venues (been to Irving Plaza) this way it gives them a chance to connect to new or maybe loyal fans…Good luck to them.

enough with Anvil already. They are a never were. If they were good enough, they would have been famous twenty years ago. It’s not sad that they didn’t make it big. It’s sad that VH1 is giving them so much publicity

enough already with the Anvil thing. They aren’t a has been, they are a never were. Vh1′s shameless, endless promotion of their stupid documentary is nauseating. It’s not sad that a band with not enough talent didn’t make it big time. It’s sad that 20 years later people are being forced to care because VH1 won’t let it go.

I was never an Anvil fan, but I saw them open for someone back in the late 80′s at L’Amore’s in Brooklyn. I thought the documentary was great! It was sad, uplifting, pathetic, & inspiring all at the same time. Best of luck to Anvil. I hope all of their wildest dreams come true!

Went to see Anvil Feb. 5 in Tempe, AZ and they KICKED #)`$^(&#+(~`@@^ One of the tightest bands I’ve seen. Also, very humble and down to earth guys, Lips stated during the show “I’m just a rock and roll fan like the rest of you”. And he and Robb made good on his promise to come out and shake every one’s hand after the show. They were awesome, and can’t wait to see them again.
