Even when it’s fleeting, who doesn’t love love?
Moving on to another thing we loved about this episode…
- Unspoken contempt
Watching Brooke and Miranda interact, it’s really hard to get a grasp on what these women really think of each other. Listening to them in interviews, however, is a different matter.
Miranda: “Brooke is that girl in high school that I couldn’t stand. Chatty, yappy, sickening sweet as a slice of Mississippi mud pie. And I just don’t know that she’s right for Antonio.”
Let me guess: Miranda’s that girl in high school who talked about the other girls, but did well in English thanks to her creativity in the realm of metaphor.
- Antonio’s Next Top Model
On one hand, it was brutal of him to bust in on the girls, throw on the lights and start snapping away.
On the other hand, it was very America’s Next Top Model of him to be so sadistic. And, on the third hand, whatever pain was inflicted was all for the greater good of getting to hear Antonio Sabato, Jr., proclaim, “Tyra Banks can kiss my fat ass.” Not only is that a season highlight, it’s an all-time VH1 highlight.

- The time test
A few episodes ago, when Miranda said that she could get ready to go out in eight minutes, I knew it was a lie. And this proved it!
It must be wonderful to be in an environment where if someone says something that sounds like B.S., all you have to do to disprove it is invent a mini competition. This isn’t playing God, but it is like playing an omnipotent referee.
Oh, by the way…
…Miranda failed. OF COURSE.
- Closing the door on open relationships
Antonio was completely disgusted when Brooke brought up dating both of them. This was yet another way he differs from other reality show types (remember on the first Rock of Love when, during the final elimination, Bret asked Jes and Heather, “Will you both be my girlfriends?”). When Brooke said that she’d be dating other guys if Antonio was dating other girls, and Miranda said that she only wanted to date Antonio…
…things got a lot cozier between Miranda and Antonio. And once again, this show proves that an opportunity for affection is an opportunity for foot fetishism.
- Miranda’s pain
Not to take pleasure in it, but she was typically hilarious on the extended helicopter tour of Hawaii.
She couldn’t enjoy the lava.
She didn’t want a barf bag. (”I’m not gonna spew, that’s not my issue!” is yet another adorable Mirandaism.)
And she actually got to say, “F*** you,” to Brooke in a I’m-kidding-except-not-really way when Brooke suggested that she wouldn’t be opposed to Miranda being dropped off, leaving Antonio and Brooke alone. When life gives you illness, make haterate. That’s what I always say.

- Antonio’s fake-out
After telling Yvonne he needed to make the final decision for himself, kissing her goodbye and probably tranquilizing her…
…Antonio gathered his Top 2 and…
…dismissed them, saying that he couldn’t yet make his decision. Because this happened about midway into the hour, I think we all breathed a sigh of relief that we weren’t in for the longest elimination ceremony ever.
- Fruit comparisons
Brooke says she and Miranda are like apples and oranges. Miranda says, “We’re so not apples and oranges. Brooke is an apple and I’m like a guava. I’m like a passion fruit.” Miranda wins.
- The contract
In an 11th-hour twist, Brooke requested that Antonio sign a contract that covered “continuity, exclusivity and longevity,” so she would know how often they’d see each other, the terms of their commitment and what she could expect in the long run. Even though Antonio’s reaction to this led Brooke to say she’d put her foot in her mouth, it was worth it seeing him squirm…
…just for the joy of watching a master in command on his feet. He was “completely horrified.” Now he knows how the girls felt when he asked them to walk on fire.
- One last Mirandaism
“I believe in fate and I believe in destiny because there’s only one Miranda. And she’s gonna rock your world.”
And that she did.
- The final outcome
“I didn’t know that the word aloha can mean many things: love, peace, compassion, affection and mercy,” Antonio told his Final 2. “Aloha” can also mean goodbye and hello, as in, “Goodbye, Miranda, hello Brooke.”
And that was that. Antonio picked Brooke after letting down Miranda gently, albeit vaguely (”Miranda, you’re the most incredible woman…but I’m sorry, it’s gonna be Brooke”). And then the new couple kissed their way into the sunset.
And, if only for a moment, it was lovely.
With the sun having set on this relationship for real, you have to wonder: will it rise again? And by that, I mean: second season, anyone? Anyone?

I read in an interview that when questioned about Tully popping up to compete on the show that it was a complete surprise to Antonio and that he said he wondered if Tully wasn’t there to try to be famous. (Antonio, you are so arrogant, Do you think you are that popular? you are NOT AN A LISTER….DUH!)
Guess what Antonio, Thanks to this dumb boring show you had, she is coming out smelling like the rose that she is. Hopefully she will get her own show and you…JUst go away. VH1 should never have a show with you and/or your Mommy in it again.

Brooke the Crook was only there for exposure. That was a foolish decision of Antonio to pick her. Miranda - loved her but didnt see the right chemistry. And how dare Antonio question if Tully was there to be famous. She didnt need the show. She is still in LOVE. He needs to get back with her for sure.

I only have one thing to say and it is NOT directed at ANY of the women…I am disappointed that so many women are quick to judge and put down the women that were on My Antonio. My comment is for Antonio, it is CLEAR that this show was not intended for you to find a wife but rather to try and become more famous. I think it worked but not to your benefit..I liked you better before the show. What this show really did was beginning with you dismissing a woman within the first few mins of the show because you didn’t like her feet was show how very shallow you are. It seems that you don’t have room to love anyone since you are so in love with yourself and what you look like. Just my opinion but I had to say it.
I hope you find real happiness and peace in your life.

I really enjoyed the show! I think those were valid questions that you asked Tully and thought you made the right decision with Brooke. She was out going and always up for anything fun and crazy. I like Miranda but thought she had too many quirks and knew there was no way you would last with her if that was your decision. It’s nice that you still have some type of love for Tully but I don’t think it would be wise to get back together with her. I think she needs a father for her son and a place to live instead of living with her parents and not having a job. I wish the best for Tully because it’s hard raising kids on your own but she’ll work it out because we always do. I really have respect for you raising your kids and keep up the good job!

I WAS IN COMPLETE TOTAL SHOCK THAT ANTONIO PICKED BROOKE. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL BUT HAS SUCH AN ARROGANT ATTITUDE. I WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO DISAPPOINTED THAT HE DIDNT CHOOSE MIRANDA. IF I COULD HAVE MADE THE CHOICE FOR HIM IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HIS EX WIFE. I LOVED HER. I FELT SO BAD FOR HER BECAUSE HIS NOSEY +@`*!#_)&)^!)`+ MOTHER HAD TO STICK HER NOSE IN HIS LOVE LIFE. I agree with Barbara. Brooke seemed like a genuinely sweet girl (both on the show and in her interview) and even if she wasn’t, why so much meanness? You don’t have to date her, and neither does Antonio, apparently. He picked the right girl, but even as I yippied that my favorite triumphed, I felt sorry for her at what it was that was she “won”.

I LOVED Tully. Brooke and Miranda are so lame and boring compared to her. VH1- if you are smart you will create a love reality dating show for Tully. You should put guys in tuxedos for her. Antonio is lame. The best part of the show was Tully.

I thought Tully was the best match. I was sorry to see her go. I didn’t feel a connection between Antonio and the other girls. It was a fun show. I hope he does it again.

Are you freakin kidding me? I seriously do not understand what Antonio seen in Brooke, other than that she was built, & athletic. I guess the outside is the most important part of this final decision! Poor Miranda! It seems as though that Tully was the only one who had any true and honest feelings for Antonio. Oh well, guess you can’t relive the past either!

Antonio I think you and Miranda would have made a better couple only because there where no contracts or mentioning of any control only that she would be with you where ever that may be but you will figure that out one day. And your EX that was really smart of you to let her go but you should have done that right away. I think that Miranda would have been the wrong choice for Antonio. The reason for my opinion is because i think that she is not adventuresome enough for him. Brooke is a better match, but im not sure if he will be able to live up to her standards. She obviously comes from a really solid family. Her parents are probably very concerned.I think he is a nice guy, but i think he’s dating up.They will most likely have fun dating, because Brooke can definitely keep up…I do hope that Tully gets her own show, i think she deserves twenty guys pawning over her.

It was not lovely. It was really boring. If you look in to Brooke’s eyes her pupils are not dialated at all. They’re flat. There was no passion there. Also, Brooke pulled that contract BS b/c she told him that she would date other girls. Miranda said she’d only date him. He REALLY should have picked Miranda. Actually, he should have picked Tully. Maybe none of them. He should pick his mother, or a man.

omg, i truley loved Tully. she made the whole show , i couldn’t wait till sunday’s to watch until he broke her heart AGAIN. you could see the love in her eyes on every show, then he kept telling her to stay and stick it out?? she was there till the end!!! then at the end he breaks her heart. YOU SUCK. tulley i hope you read this, and i hope you find a man that is true to you, and loves you for you. So sorry you picked the wrong girl……I’t should have been Miranda. Funny I think your mom thought so too. Yes Brook is cute and sweet…yes you may be attracted but laughter without hiding and insecurities makes for a better match. And Any woman (a makeup artist to boot) who can wake up at 6 and be as comfortable with your “ photo shoot” should have told you everything you needed to know. Well ladies it looks like you can look forward to another season of Antonio ….. but then again it doesn’t seem it was ever REALY about love it was about ratings.

Excuse me, No disrespect, but I justhave to tell you that I read that Tully lives with her parents for practical family reasons. Her parents are getting on in age, and I also read that Tully and her son had their own farm in Tennessee and she sold that so that she could live with her parents in a European style tradition of families living together and helping each other. I don’t think she was there to get Antonio’s money. She probably has about as much money as he does.
Contrary to his own beliefs Antonio isn’t exactly ALL THAT. I think this show has shown a lot of us exactlywhat he is, a shallow, vain wanna be that think he already IS a major star.

Are u kidding me?? I was SO upset @ the fact that Antonio told Tully to hang in there tells her he loves her and dumps her right after! That’s what scum & momma’s boys do! You should have kept her she truely loved you! SHE DESERVES BETTER! and another thing what’s up with the dominating, overbarring, bitter, resentful MOTHER? How old are you cuz she is still changing your diapers! OMG no woman n there right mind would deal with that but Tully did! Tully is a better and more classy woman especially to take the abuse your mom dished out on her! Your mom needs therapy to deal with her issues of abandonment from you and she is part of the problem why you 2 didnt work. I am sure for Tully that it was hard to keep a marriage together with a meldling mother-in-law always trying to sabatoge you around every corner. Your mom needs to get over the fact that Tully DID NOT steal you away or force you to marry you by holding a gun to your head, and that you did it on your own free will. You signed the papers and are just as responsible as she is. Your mom needs her own life, and man, surgery to remove the stick from her &~%*!#(((`%(_@_ and she needs to get layed…. I was so upset (I cried) when Antonio let Tully go that I said I wasn’t going to watch the finale show. But then my bf wanted to watch it so I decided to watch it with him. I liked both Brooke and Miranda but I thought he should’ve chosen Tully. I beleive that everything happens for a reason and I think her being on the show gave her the closure that she needed with Antonio. VH-1, please give Tully her own show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And put a twist on it by having Antonio be one of the guys. hahahahaha Of course that would never happen b/c his mother would never allow it. Tully, you are beautiful inside and outside. Don’t get anyone get you down. Be strong and keep smiling!!!!!!

Finally I was able to watch the last episode (I despise reality tv but I somehow got sucked into this one)! Brooke and Miranda both seem like great girls but I’m in doubt as to this decision, were it made on the sole premise of companionship… In my opinion, Miranda seemed a more likely match; she had that best friend quality that all functioning relationships require.
P.S. Of course this show was created for exposure… You watched it and now this man’s name is in your mouths. Besides, a contract is a contract is a contract is a contract yadda yadda yadda

I am upset that Antonio did not pick Tully. She was the only woman on the show who was actually there for him and not the exposure. He never kissed any of the other women the way he kissed her. The past is the past he needs to leave it there and give her another shot. Brook is VERY fake and does not want a guy who doesn’t have a steady paycheck…. why go on a show to meet an actor then? I liked Miranda but saw more of a friendship then a love. He should have picked Tully. Mom doesn’t always know best!!

I think in a way Antonio made the right decision with brooke.. she stood up for her opinions and was honest.. a good listener.. etc.. Miranda, I dont know, Mirande seemed like she would do anything to get a guy to go with her.. fly to L.A. tell him what he wants to here.. Anything.. and that isn’t right. yea make him feel better.. but she should say how she really feels rather then going with what antonio feels. brooke and Antonio had ups and downs.. but every relationship has that and thats what makes the couple stronger.. So i wish brooke and antonio the best of luck.. he made a good decision

Antonio is a very sweet person,i adore him i don”t think Brooke was his right choice.i love Miranda because she is very outspoken and humble but my pick would have been Tully she seems to a caring,softspoken and loving person any man would want to have a woman like her,we all make mistakes sometimes in life you should of chosen her i know you loved her Antonio but your darm Mother was a problem, my wish is that both of you would be together soon and that wish is from my heart.Best of luck Antonio!!!

I’m surprised at so many neg. comments about the show,& so much support for Tully. I looked forward to the show ea. wk. If it was so boring, why did you keep tuning in? I hoped Antonio would choose Brooke because their energy levels were well matched. After all, this was supposed to be just the very beginning of the relationship. I found Antonio to be quite caring & sensitive. What model/actor doesn’t have some degree of ego?? I understand forever loving your 1st love, but found Tully quite pathetic at insinuating herself into his life again. My husband felt the same way. Yvonne was quite the dragon. I’m really wondering why there is no direct feedback from Antonio as to how he feels the show went, about his relationship with Brooke, & if there will be another show. ?????

dear Tully, Youre such a brave woman for me coz after all those dramas,heartaches,and pains just to conquer and win back Antonio is not easy, honestly.You just show the world how truthful you were with your love for him, and Im proud of you. Its touches me a lot coz i did have the same predicament with you. They say, if you love somebody set it free, if he comes back to you,hes yours,but if he does’nt, it never meant to be. I have to say I do not find Brooke to be genuine or authentic in any way. TULLY is the best person for you. Love isn’t something that comes around everyday or something to be found on a show. For her to humble herself and to place herself amongst your mother and a group of hungry women is amazing. Don’t be afraid to stand up for what is truly in your heart. Go get Tully!

I think he chose Brooke because he knew she was using the show as a vehilce to other acting avenues. Easier to end things with. I don’t think Brooke would of been easy to break up with for he really liked her. If another season is coming please leave out the whole it’s like cops.

I wonder which dumb-a** over at VH1 thought it was a good idea to give Antonio Sabato Jr (biggest loser) his own reality show. I knew Tully from her modeling days years ago in Miami… so I heard about this show and tuned into on-demand and caught the last few episodes, and boy, what a trashy little piece of crap it turned out to be!!
Clearly, Antonio needs a job badly and this was a desperate attempt for publicity. And what’s up with his scary mother?? She reminds me of those demon dogs in the Omen movies… yikes! Obviously she was pulling all the strings in Antonio’s pathetic little life.
I agree with some of the previous posts on here… VH1 should give Tully her own show… she’s much more interesting than watching Antonio or scary mom.

You know how people say, “everyone deserves a second chance.” ? Well if Antonio believes in that then Tully should’ve gotten another chance.. True love never dies. Brooke seemed REAL but I think Miranda was a better choice for Antonio.. That one girl who had the short blonde hair & was very fit coulda been good for Antonio but she had a hard time opening up & I think it was Antonio who said she had a bad attitude.. It’s the ones who are mostly opposite that attract but I could be wrong. There should’ve been a reunion show for this like all the other dating shows so that we the audience could kind of know how exactly things ended but maybe it was just for the fun of it & maybe so some people on there could have their 15 mins of fame.
