Hi Laverne, I have a very good friend who is trans female to male. I’m wondering have you ever met anyone who has regretted making a transformation? It seems like a huge change, what if a person changes genders and still is not happy?

Fred March 8, 2010 at 6:07 pm

Laverne, your going to be one of the first transgendered women heading her own show on cable television. How have you prepared yourself for the responsibilities of become a strong role model for the american public? Also are you prepared for any controversy surrounding the show since you will be breaking ground with your fabulous costars in this show?

Cinema March 8, 2010 at 9:14 pm

How has your family reacted to your transformation? Did they know all along, or did you tell them soon before you made it official?

How does hollywood and show business treat you?

what is the biggest misconception about the transgender community?

Laverne, what is your main reasoning behind undertaking this project? What do you hope to accomplish for both yourself and the public’s (mis)conceptons of transsexuality?

Also, as this show involves makeovers, who would you consider the ideal personification of glamor and jeu de vivre, the class act one should try to embody at all times?

Thanks ever so much!

Ty, please educate yourself before posting any other ignorant comments. Laverne is beautiful and doesn’t deserve to see BS like you spout.

Anyway, Laverne, my best friend just came out as transgender to me about 3 months ago as a male-to-female. I have limited understanding of the subject because Internet reading can only do so much, so what do I need to know in terms of what my friend is going through?

Smith March 14, 2010 at 4:09 am

Still a dude. BIOLOGICALLY you ARE STILL A MAN!! Find real women to transform women, not dudes pretending to be women.

Hey Laverne,
I do have a question regarding my hair. First, I love ya’lls show. I have lost all of my hair and where wigs. I wear wigs from Wig World in Reno Nevada. I would love to where a wig that doesn’t require bangs. Im like RuPaul (No head hair) however, it looks like when RuPaul is wearing the wigs its looks like it’s his hair.
Your hair is beautiful but Im guessing you have your own hair added to it. I lost my hair when I was 26 and now Im 46. It’s always an issue. Can you help me out with any idea’s that isn’t costly?
Looking for a new idea and feel better about myself. I miss the days of when I could pull my hair up in a pony tail or frech braid, and not having to worry about the wig cap showing. I would love to hear what you have to say.
Thank you! Keep up the great work.
Pam

Hi Laverne!..this is my third comment to you, and once again I really admire you and like I said it was hope to own issues with beauty, and feeling beautiful for me and my husband! But he tells me everyday that Im beautiful but I sometmes dont believe him. And I really hit rock bottom when he looks at other woman with bodies and says…she is gorgeous..when I really know he thinks there hot, I was skinny and ever since I married a marine in the armed forces I gained weight..and he tells me that I gained weight. I really started working on that I lost some of it and my question is how do I get rid of the stretch marks, and I have very thin hair..how can I get it think and very long like kim kardashian..or even better like yours!!..plz help thank you
