Bret Michaels To Become American Idol Judge?

So, this is weird: in the video above, both Bret Michaels and Simon Cowell seem to ponder Bret slipping into Simon’s slot as an American Idol judge next season. Bret’s a perpetual joker, so it’s hard to gauge just how serious he is when he says, “Provided my health holds up, I think I’m taking that chair next year!” However, he does support the claim with, “I can give great criticism.” Regardless of his seriousness, we can be sure that Bret wouldn’t turn down the gig should it be offered. American Idol with 5,000 times more “awesome” (and subsequent apologies for overusing that word) might be exactly what the aging show needs to pull itself out of its slump. [Extra]

Bret would be a great replacement judge! He’s smart, but he’s also supportive and nice. Fire Kara and replace her with Bret, and then just leave it at 3 judges.

I agree Bret would make a great judge! After his performance on Celebrity Apprentice he has proven he is smart, funny and very creative. I vote for Bret!

I would love to see Bret as an American Idol judge. I think he would be great and plus I would start watching it lol

Idol needs musical people like Bret. Ellen is funny, but she isn’t in the music industry. Bret has charisma and talent.

I THINK THAT THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!!! I LOVE BRET MICHAELS, I THINK HE IS A REAL AND GENUINE PERSON AND I THINK HE WOULD MAKE AMERICAN IDOL JUST AS POPULAR IF NOT MORE POPULAR AS SIMON DID, YES WE WILL ALL MISS SIMON, BUT MOVE OVER BACON NOW THERE IS SOMETHING MEATIER LOL, I VOTE FOR BRET

I think it would be a better show a lot of people look at bret as great guy!!!!! after the Apprenties he showed alot of people that he can be a rocker,dad and a loving guy and it helps that he’s a good looking man. so FIRE Kara!!!!!!!!!!!! love ya Bret
