Last week we were in Miami, but this week’s T.O. Show 2 moves to Kita’s hometown — Louisville, Kentucky — in time for Kita, her sister BJ, and, of course, Terrell Owens, to check out the Kentucky Derby. In the clip above, Terrell learns some key things about Kita while staying with Kita’s tough-as-nails grandmother. First, Kita’s first name (Buckita) isn’t “a French name” as she says. She’s named for her father, Bucky. And Kita wasn’t a popular girl, and sometimes had to shop at Goodwill to have clothes for school. Sadly, Kita’s aunt, the one who encouraged her to get out of Louisville, passed away five years ago, and another part of the trip shows Terrell and Kita visiting her grave. But Kita’s high school reunion cheers her up, if only because showing up with a) a professional athlete b) her own TV cameras makes her most likely to have succeeded.
Things aren’t so good when Kita and Terrell get back to L.A. Kita visits the office, where she and Monique argue over the time Kita’s been spending with Terrell over their other clients, and the work Monique’s had to made up for while they’ve been traveling. As you could have guessed, the implication that Kita’s been “chasing after” Terrell makes Kita angry. And Kita angry makes Monique angry. And Monique is now nine months pregnant. Lucky, a cup of Starbucks coffee is the only casualty, though their friendship and company could be next.
