VH1 is getting into the game-show…game by picking up the next season of Don’t Forget the Lyrics (premiering Monday, September 20 at 7/6c). This time, it has a new host, Mark McGrath. Details in the mini-press release below.
Don’t Forget the Lyrics! is a musical game show that tests contestants’ knowledge of song lyrics from different genres, decades and artists. Don’t Forget the Lyrics! is the ultimate rock-star fantasy, taking people on a heart pounding, roller-coaster ride of music and edge-of-your seat entertainment. This season kicks off Monday, September 20 at 7 PM ET/PT with new host Mark McGrath. How do I get on? When it was on fox, I filled out the app, sent the tape and they called me saying I was being considered for next season. Then it went off the air! I want on this show so, so bad! Please tell us how to apply

Would love to audition for this show, have actually won multiple song lyric contests in my life, and was a huge fan of the original show on Fox, but also a huge fan of Mark M. (I actually loved wheh he cleaned up on Rock ‘N Roll Jeopardy) if that show was still around I feel I could compete very well on it as well. Not to mention that World Series of Pop Culture show :).

Love that show!! “Don’t forget the lyrics” is the best show and we can’t get enough!! We also watch it on KDFI27 in Fort Worth, TX. We have our friends over and it’s a great challenge!! It was great with Wayne Brady on there but Mark is great also!! Love it!! Can’t get enough of “Don’t forget the lyrics”!! Keep it on ;)

I LOVE this show! I am always singing to songs on the radio.My friends and co workers are always amazed that I seem to know all the words to alot of the songs that are played on the radio. I would love to be a contestant. Not too mention winning big money would help me and my family financially. How do I get on the show??????????????
I like the show, but I think Mark McGrath is too touchy-feely with the contestants…both female and male. You can see some of them kind of shrugging away from him, and I think he should cut physical contact to a minimum.
