You already know that Sunday night’s premiere of Mob Wives got people talking (and tweeting!). Over two million people tuned in to watch the premiere episode of what is now one of cable television’s hottest shows, and now everyone is starting to pay attention. Case in point: Karen Gravano, Renee Graziano, Carla Facciolo and Drita D’avanzo appeared live on Good Morning America this morning to chat about the show and their lives with the always amiable Robin Roberts.
Robin began the segment by asking Karen why, considering the famously tight-lipped nature of the La Cosa Nostra community, these ladies decided to participate in this show in the first place. “I think we’re brave,” Karen responded. “I think there’s so much out there about the Mob, it’s so glorified, I just thought that it was time to bring people behind closed doors to see what the families go through.” At which point, Renee jumped in and said, “It’s not about sympathy, please.”
You can watch the whole interview above. And don’t forget, the highly anticipated next episode of Mob Wives airs on Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT, only on VH1!
