Intercontinental chart-topper Adele cancelled the remainder of her United States tour today due to illness. She lost her voice prior to soundcheck in Minneapolis on May 26, and was forced to postpone that show at the last minute, but despite a diagnosis of laryngitis, she performed the next night in Denver. That proved too ambitious, and she then postponed the five shows following.
Now it turns out that her condition has not improved sufficiently to continue the tour at all. Her plan to resume in San Francisco tomorrow night was derailed by bad news from a consultation with an otolaryngologist in Los Angeles. We wish her the best for a quick recovery.
