VH1 GIVES THE GREENLIGHT TO TWO NEW SERIES – “BASKETBALL WIVES: LOS ANGELES” AND A DATING SERIES STARRING NEW YORK’S HOTTEST MATCHMAKER, “SIGGY FLICKER”

Los Angeles, CA – June 20, 2011 – VH1 is expanding their “Basketball Wives” franchise with an explosive new series set in Los Angeles featuring the wives and girlfriends of players both the Lakers and their cross-town rivals the Clippers. VH1 has also given the greenlight to a new dating series, “Siggy Flicker” (working title) featuring the dynamic matchmaker Siggy Flicker and her match-making service in New York teaching the lovelorn to be dating powerhouses.

“Siggy Flicker” premieres Sunday, October 16 at 10pm ET/PT

One part docusoap and one part workplace comedy, with a good dose of dating etiquette, set in the complicated world of dating in the 21st century. Siggy is an expert matchmaker with years of experience, standing ready to help NYC singles find love or at least their dating mojo. Each week Siggy will give her two new clients, one male and one female, personalized dating lessons, while pulling no punches in critiquing their skills. Once they’re ready, she will send her high-energy staff of junior “pickers” out on to the streets of New York to find possible matches and put her clients’ skills to the test. “Siggy Flicker” has been picked up for 10 one-hour episodes and is slated to premiere in the fall.

“Siggy Flicker” is produced by Left/Right (Banks Tarver and Ken Druckerman). Executive producing for VH1 are Shelly Tatro, Brad Abramson, Danielle Gelfand and Jeff Olde. Talent executive for the series is Leah Horwitz.
