Beyoncé Covers Queen, Prince, and Kings of Leon in France

|

Beyoncé treated fans in Nice, France to a three-song cover medley in concert last night, tackling Queen‘s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Prince‘s “The Beautiful Ones,” and Kings of Leon‘s “Sex on Fire” in quick progression. B bungled a few of the “Bohemian Rhapsody” lyrics, but by the time she hit Prince, she hit her lyrical stride.

It probably helps that she has covered “The Beautiful Ones” before, often alongside her own “That’s Why You’re Beautiful,” as in this clip, filmed at the concert that (aside from the Prince cover) was immortalized on her 2009 I Am… Yours: An Intimate Performance at Wynn Las Vegas DVD. For highlights from that release, check out this unmissable roundup from none other than former VH1 blog writer Rich Juzwiak (whom we still miss). And just think—her new album next week will (hopefully) mean a new American tour—and maybe even a new DVD.
