VH1’s newest reality competition Ton Of Cash pits fourteen broke contestants against each other to see who has the staying power and strength to win the grand prize of $1 million. Each week, one contestant will be eliminated and forced to go home empty-handed…unless you, the compassionate viewer, want to throw them some extra money. At the end of each weekly episode, you can text a vote to determine whether or not that night’s eliminated contestant will win bonus money. 1. Voting Periods: Text messaging voting will be available commencing with the initial broadcast of the premiere episode of Ton Of Cash, currently scheduled for 9:00pm EDT on Monday Wednesday Aug 17th 2011 and voting in connection with such premiere episode will remain open for approximately 7 days. Thereafter, the text message voting period in connection with each subsequent episode of Ton Of Cash will commence with the initial broadcast of each subsequent episode and remain open for approximately 7 days thereafter (collectively, the “Voting Period”). Sponsor may at its discretion shift the Voting Period and may post notice of shift online on the VH1 web site and/or at TonOfCash.VH1.com. Ton of Cash broadcasts are subject to preemption and schedule changes without notice. Please check local television listings for Ton of Cash broadcast dates/times in your area.
2. Ton of Cash Show Description: During the Voting Period, viewers of the Ton of Cash television program will be asked to interact with the show by voting to decide if the contestant will win additional prizes/money. The announcer will invite viewers to vote by sending in a text message on their text messaging capable mobile phone. There is a maximum of ten (10) votes per wireless phone account using the text message method of voting.
3. How to Participate:
Voting Via Cell Phone Text Messaging: If you are a wireless service subscriber and have a text messaging capable device, you may submit your vote during the Voting Period by sending the designated word or text message identified during the broadcast of the television program to the short code 34444 with your vote during the Voting Period. You will receive a “thank you” text message that provides additional information about Ton of Cash. You will be charged standard text and data rates for each text message sent or received from your handset according to the Terms and Conditions of your Service Agreement with your wireless carrier, plus a premium text messaging charge of One Dollar ($1.00) will apply for each voting text message sent. Each wireless carrier’s rate plan may vary, and voters should contact their wireless carrier for information on messaging rate plans and charges relating to your participation in Ton of Cash. 4. SMS Game Description: Viewers submitting votes during the Voting Period will also receive an invite via text message through their mobile phone to play the SMS Trivia Game for a premium charge of One Dollar and Forty-Nine Cents ($1.49) per game, plus additional text and data rates which may also apply to all message sent or received. Each game consists of three (3) different questions in a multiple choice format. NOTE: The SMS Trivia Game is for entertainment purposes only and no cash or prizes will be awarded.
If you are a wireless service subscriber and have a text messaging capable device, you may play the SMS Trivia Game during the Voting Period by following the instructions in the invitation text and sending a text message with your answers to the questions asked during the game. There are three (3) questions per game. A leaderboard of all individuals playing will be created by Sponsor and Player’s results and position on the leader-board will be sent to the player via text message. Points earned in the game are for bragging rights and leader board status only and cannot be redeemed for cash or prizes. The SMS Trivia Game is for entertainment purposes only and no cash or prizes will be awarded. Once a game ends, you will be offered an opportunity to play another new game with three (3) new questions. There is a limit of 25 trivia games per wireless phone account per month. Each new game will incur a new charge of One Dollar and Forty-Nine Cents ($1.49) per game, plus standard text and data rates for each text message sent or received from your handset according to the Terms and Conditions of your Service Agreement with your wireless carrier. Charges will be added to your mobile phone bill or deducted from your pre-paid plan. In no event will Sponsor, its parent, subsidiary, licensees, and/or affiliates and related companies, their sponsors, advertising or promotion agencies or their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents, be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of lost, incomplete, late, damaged, or misdirected text messages or online communications; failures or malfunctions of phones (including wireless phones/handsets); phone lines or telephone systems or other communications malfunctions; cellular equipment towers, telephone systems or wireless services; interrupted or unavailable network or servers; miscommunications, failed computer hardware or software or other technical failures; garbled, lost, misrouted or scrambled transmissions; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion or for any other technical problem; errors in receipt or tabulation of votes via text messaging, toll free calling or online voting.

The Sponsor may from time to time and at any time amend, supplement or modify these Terms and Conditions and will post a copy of such amended versions on this website. If you do not agree to be bound by (or cannot comply with) these Terms and Conditions and any amendments thereto, you agree that your sole remedy is to cease using this service by texting STOP to 34444, or otherwise contacting the Sponsor to discontinue this service.
