And The Greatest Song Of The ’00s Is…

All week, VH1 has been rolling out the 100 Greatest Songs of The ’00s and tonight we finally made it to number one which is…(drumroll)…Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love”! We’ve always maintained that this song is like a party(and we’re all invited) so we think its place at #1 is well-deserved, but we want to know if you agree. Our distinguished panel certainly does — they can’t help but booty pop in their seats just talking about it. Mob Wives star Drita D’avanzo puts it best though, when she says, “Beyonce and Jay-Z is like peanut butter and jelly, and you just want it.” After the jump, check out the full list of the top 100 songs from the ’00s, and then make your way to the comments section to let us know if Beyonce is the best choice to sit at the top of our list.

One U2 song? One Coldplay song? What about Viva La Vida??? 10 year olds love that song.

One Kelly Clarkson song? Why is R.Kelly’s “Trapped in a Closet” even acknowledged?? Stay in that closet R.Kelly, or make a new song called Trapped in a Prison Cell.

What a joke of a countdown.

  2. Liza says:

I dont care THE REASON from HOOBASTANK is out of the 2000 greatest songs!!!

  3. Joey says:

Not a bad countdown, wasn’t really expecting “crazy in love” to be THE #1 song of the decade..I was expecting “You found me” by the Fray to be on there, “apologize” by one republic, and even a lil wayne song like “A milli” or “lollipop”..

  4. Ryan says:

The actual greatest song of the 00′s is All Star by Smash Mouth.
Beyonce may be good, but she is not 3 songs in the top 20 good. bootylicious and single ladies should’ve been much higher(60s and 80s).
Beautiful Day is a good song, but not top 20 good.
Get rid of Live Your Life, because I remember when this song was out, and there was nothing extraordinary about it.
There are other changes I’d like to make, but I can’t remember them all.
oh and Bad Romance and Tik Tok didn’t really hit their peaks until 2010, even though they were released in 2009.

  5. lee says:

  6. dd says:

  7. Val says:

“The actual greatest song of the 00?s is All Star by Smash Mouth.” Agreed Ryan.

  8. Blake says:

Dude, I would think there would have been these songs on the list: Psychosocial (Slipknot), BYOB, Chop Suey! (System of a Down), Move Along (All-American Rejects), The Middle (Jimmy Eat World), The Black Parade (My Chemical Romance), Miss Murder (AFI), Woman (Wolfmother), Take Me Out (Franz Ferdinand) Feel Good Inc (Gorillaz). I realize that I may have different taste in music than others, and that this isn’t just rock/alternative greats of the 00s but still, these songs were huge! Many of these lists I believe have been a fairly good representation but this one is, in my opinion is bogus.

  9. Blake says:

I completely agree with Ryan about how much of a joke this countdown is.

  10. summer spicer says:

    i noticed number 21 wasn’t listed…was there even a number 21?

  11. V says:

Lose Yourself SHOULD be No.1!!!!!! There is no other song that can match the Eminem’s song caliber!!!! Who even made this silly countdown??!!
