Gloria Govan Recaps Basketball Wives L.A. Episode 8

Gloria Govan is one of the most recognizable faces on Basketball Wives L.A. thanks to her dramatic stint on the first season of the original Basketball Wives. Gloria has agreed to recap this season of Basketball Wives L.A. for the VH1 Blog and we couldn’t be happier to have her input on everything that goes down in front of and behind the camera. This week, Gloria thinks Jackie’s gossiping is becoming tiresome.

Careers and families are major priorities in the ladies’ lives.

We are all working on our own business ventures. Malaysia has her 3 Beats, a jewelry line for kids, Draya has her upcoming bikini line, Jackie has her clothing line, and I have Headbangers accessories. One of the things we all have in common is the want to stand on our own as individuals and become entrepreneurs.

It’s nice to see Jackie, who has been in the game for so long, take Draya under her wing and show her the ropes in terms of business. But things take an UGLY turn when Jackie’s gossiping becomes tiresome. Her constant rant about Laura is becoming overwhelming. Why she doesn’t just approach her and talk to her about it is immature and childish. Their problems could have been solved ages ago if Jackie would tell Laura how her feelings were hurt, but instead she dances around it and vents to everyone else.

On the other hand, Matt and I are going back home to the Bay area to get our twin boys, Isaiah and Carter, christened. With them approaching three years old, we feel likes it’s never too late or early to start a relationship with God. It’s here in the Bay area that we learn about my sister’s plans to go back to Orlando. And even though we support her decisions, her on-again, off-again relationship with her ex has the entire family rolling their eyes.

Back in LA… Jackie is still on her mission to become queen bee of the crew. I feel like Jackie is that person who starts internal problems amongst the girls but turns around to act like the big sister to help fix the problems she’s started. Jackie has a way of getting in your ear and manipulating you to believe she is one that needs to be trusted. But her random and unusual behavior is starting to become suspicious. Draya and Malaysia having to babysit a grown woman at a public event is sad and pathetic. Jackie’s emotional roller coaster has all the girls on edge.
