The news has rippled across the internet quickly and it’s clear that we’re not the only ones stunned and saddened by the hip hop artist’s death. DEAR VH1& MTV:
I cannot believe that your networks, both being connected, have not shown NOT 1 HEAVY D VIDEO, NOT 1 TRIBUTE, NOTHING ON HEAVY D!!!! Neither station, INCLUDING BET&CENTRIC HAVE NOT SHOWN NOT 1 VIDEO FROM A MAN WHO CONTRIBUTED A LOT TO HIPHOP, YOU GUYS ARE RIDICULOUS, THIS MAN WAS ONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO PAVED THE WAY FOR HIPHOP, AND NOT 1, NOT ONE STATION HAS SHOWN ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH THIS LEGEND OF AN ARTIST!!! I’VE BEEN WAITING, AND WAITING HOPING THAT BY NOW, THAT 1 OF THE STATIONS WOULD STEP UP TO THE PLATE, YOU ALL ARE REALLY DISAPPOINTING! I can get over Teena Marie, and Vesta Williams, because both women only had 1 video each, so I can understand that, but not Heavy D, Heavy D had videos, and he produced a lot of other artists, and yet neither VH1 or MTV never so much has mentioned him, how pitiful, especially, MTV. His videos were in heavy rotation in the 90s on MTV, so that is very unbelievable that you all have not even dedicated anything to this HIPHOP LEGEND, YOU GUYS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!!
