A couple of weeks ago, we asked you guys what city you’d like to see Steve Ward travel to if there’s a fourth season of Tough Love, and while that location is still up in the air, we can safely say today that another season of the show is definitely happening. VH1 is thrilled to spend another season with Steve and his mother JoAnn as the Master Matchmakers teach another batch of women how to improve their dating lives. We spoke to Steve this morning when the news was announced and he told us that he’s excited to push the women on season four harder than ever. “I think you get the most out of these girls when you push them to the brink,” he said, “so my intentions are to challenge them moreso than they’ve ever been challenged before. I thought I took the gloves off in season three, but now I’m going to go out there and make it rain.”
We’re also happy to announce a primetime special, Tough Love: The Wards Get Real, which will air this Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In this special, we’ll get to see the entire Ward family in their element at home, working together, and occasionally giving one another a dose of familial tough love too. In the hour-long special, Steve and JoAnn Ward will open up their business Master Matchmakers to VH1 cameras for an inside look into the daily lives of a family of matchmakers. With over 25 years of experience in matchmaking and coaching, JoAnn’s business, headquartered in Philadelphia, PA now faces fierce competition from the world of online dating. Steve along with his sister Monica (Director of Client Services), plays an integral part in differentiating their business from the rest and keeping the company afloat. In the special, both men and women will learn what works in terms of dating and what they’re doing wrong when they see Steve, JoAnn and Monica dissect their dates and tell them the truth about why they’re still single. Although their brutal honesty has made them famous, the real sparks fly when the family’s liberal doses of tough love are administered to each other. Tough Love: The Wards Get Real premieres Sunday, November 13 at 8 PM ET/PT on VH1.
For season three of Tough Love, Steve has brought his infamous boot camp to Miami to make a big splash in the dating pool. The season three finale airs Sunday, December 11 at 8 PM ET/PT and the reunion special airs Sunday, December 18 at 8 PM ET/PT.
