Who made a lasting impression on you this year? Was it Steve Jobs, or Seal Team Six, or maybe just Lady Gaga (because of her Thanksgiving Special, obviously)? We asked some of our favorite VH1 celebs who they consider to be their 2011 Person Of The Year, and while there are some usual suspects on the list, we love that there’s a lot of family on here too. Check out who made the list below.
Who Is Your Favorite Person Of 2011?
Malaysia Pargo, Basketball Wives L.A.: Jason Arasheben (Jason the Jeweler)
Chynna Soul, Why Am I Still Single?!: Alive: President Barack Obama. Although eye did not vote for this leader, eye feel our American president has performed a brilliant job “taking out” MULTIPLE terrorizing world leaders that have harmed our country and other countries, more than any other president in history, that was also handed over a country already many years in a war, and a country in a dire economy. Eye believe he held his own and pulled through, as the economy even seems to have strengthened. My person of the year who died: Steve Jobs. We lost the most BRILLIANT AMERICAN man in 2011 who changed the way our ENTIRE WORLD communicates. The remarkable intellect-gifted brain Steve Jobs was born with is a legend of astute power that falls into the class of Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison and the like of first class inventors. Eye feel blessed to be alive to witness strong American arch-types in history.
Siggy Flicker, Why Am I Still Single?!: Michael Campanella, my fiance, for I adore him and he makes me so very happy!
Jenn and Jamie Dunn, Why Am I Still Single?!: Siggy, because she Is a good example of a person who lives her dreams
Victor Goldman, Why Am I Still Single?!: THERE ARE TOO MANY IN MY PERSONAL NETWORK TO MENTION, BUT MY 3 AMAZING SONS WHO ARE MY HEROES, MY PARENTS (ESPECIALLY MY MOM WHO RUNS RAGGED HELPING ME IN EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE), SIGGY FOR INTRODUCING ME TO JAMIE, AND OF COURSE MY DARLING JAMIE, WHO IS JUST INCREDIBLE IN EVERY WAY
Elgin Charles, Beverly Hills Fabulous: President Barack Obama
Jackie Christie, Basketball Wives L.A.: My husband, Doug Christie
Tami Roman, Basketball Wives: Me. I’m the comeback kid.
Royce Reed, Basketball Wives: My mom, she’s amazing and a guidance counselor at my former HS. She’s been there since ’89 and the kids love her. To see so many reply to me on Twitter or Facebook about how she’s changed their lives for the better is always something to strive for when I work with my 5-17 yr olds that I teach.
Kenya Bell, Basketball Wives: Oprah
Somaya Reece, Love And Hip Hop: Aside from my mother and father, Pitbull. I’m extremely proud of the barriers he broke in the music industry as a Latino and a rapper.
JoAnn Ward, Tough Love Miami: My husband, for his strength.
Laura Govan, Basketball Wives L.A.: Gilbert Arenas
Kesha Nichols, Basketball Wives: My mom is my 2011 Person of the Year. I am so proud of her commitment to herself, her family and her spirituality. 2011 was a great year for her and those closely involved in her life. She is an incredible person and a lovely soul. Love you momma.
Imani Showalter, Basketball Wives L.A.: Absolutely and unequivocally I would have to say Steve Jobs! What that one man did for the WORLD has not been done before! I think he was an amazing mind and he will be greatly missed. The way he shaped the world as we know it with everything from animation to communications is a feat to be celebrated and admired. He is truly an inspiration.
