The Mob Wives just went legit. We’ve known and loved the show since last year, but the New York Times featured the cast and producers in an article yesterday discussing the brave and revolutionary way these ladies are representing themselves and their families. Producer Jennifer Graziano explained that her pitch to VH1 from the women’s perspective. “This isn’t about the men,” was her pitch. “It’s really how the lifestyle itself affects the ladies. And when men go to jail and leave their families behind, what the woman needs to do to support themselves and pick up the pieces.”
The article also reveals that Karen Gravano initially turned down the show, until Jenn Graziano convinced her otherwise, with the same argument. “She said that it would be all the women’s history and how they moved past it. I did want to shed light on what the families go through and how you overcome different things.” And not that this should surprise anyone, but the best quote from the article comes from Big Ang who explains her presence on the show by saying “I’m in my 50s, they are in the 30s. I’m going to teach them manners.”

I have been watching since the first show last season but I do not understand how Renee keeps saying that the feds did all this to her family…..
The feds are just doing there jobs! IT IS THE CRIMINAL FAMILY MEMBERS THAT DID THIS TO THERE OWN FAMILY! Put the blame where it belongs. They did the crime, they do the time….even if it hurts they’re own wives and kids. Renee and the others knew the family business, we’re not that stupid.
Renee is also going overboard with the drama. This is supposed to be a reality show. If this is what America calls entertainment, I want no more to do with this. You just lost a viewer.
The fact is Renee has grown up in this lifestyle, this is not her first rodeo! I do feel for her but I do not for one second believe she had no idea of Junior’s dealings with her father and on the streets. At some point you have to pay the piper she is surely not that stupid to think Junior or her father could continue in their crinimal activites and at some point not get caught.
What Junior did was despicable pretending to be trying again to get close to her father, however none of us know the back story, he may have been on the chopping block so to speak.
Just like Sammy The Bull I do not blame him for one second for ratting, he did after the FBI played him the tapes of Gotti talking about him getting too big for his boots.
There is no loyalty in today’s mob, they say iregardless keep your mouth shut and do your time that is all well and good but as with Joe Valachi the first mob rat it is called self preservation
who in their right mind is going to knowlingly go to their death for so called loyalty that does not exist. How many associates have been killed not because they ratted but because it was thought they might rat? I do not blame Sammy the bull or Junior Pagan in today’s mob it is dog eat dog.
As for Renee her histronics are getting old all that screaming and carrying on and blaming the feds for everything get a grip!! I also agree with Carla Renee knew something was off with Junior’s behavior he could barley make eye contact with her the last couple of episodes she put it down to her histronics over other women, but most viewers could tell something was wrong.
If Renee knew what was goin down then she is one hell of an actor…and I just don’t buy it. I think this is the BEST of the wives shows…it is reality tv at it’s finest. I truly can’t wait for the reunion show on this one.
I think Drita is all talk. She runs her mouth likes she big and bad and only how she can half way fight is when she sneaks someone or its a bunch a between her and someone else. I love this show but it can do without Carla and Drita. All Carla can be considered as is a well trained dog. Drita has her wrapped around her finger. If Drita tells Carla to bark that’s why she will do. Renee on the other hand, honey… you need to see mental help. Someone needs to be real with these ladies. I know its about MOB Wives but as I recall MOB Wives are also mothers… it would be nice to see more moments like Karen and Ramona and their girls aside from talking about there daddy’s in jail and so forth. But other then all of that…. I love the show.
Drita, Carla and Big Ang looks good in this pic…theses are my girls…they are as real as they come. LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!!!! Hang with Big Ang…that’s where the experience is!!!!
Ms Carmen two each her own in this case…You must be as miserable as karen,ramona (the cowards)…if memory serves me right…didn’t karen take a pot shot when Drita was held? Check the stats and see whose got the best ratio on the show. It doesn’t matter though, Drita has proved who she is and what she is about…did you miss an episode? Don’t hate on Drita or Carla, because they are slim and keeps it real…that’s what friends do…stick together and don’t back stab each other…I guess you never had anyone to have your back…and probably 200+ lbs….don’t hate… participate…you might learn something from these classy ladies!!!!!
