Is Courtney Stodden just putting on a show? We, along with her Couples Therapy cast mates, have been asking ourselves the same question. We’ll have to wait and see how the season will play out, but in the meantime we can watch some of her most infamous YouTube performances. These videos, in addition to her controversial marriage to Doug Hutchison, catapulted her from a not-so-average high school sophomore into a full-blown tabloid star.
The first video is briefly featured on the Couples Therapy premiere and we felt that it would greatly benefit every one of our viewers to see the full video. It is titled “Hello Courtney,” an homage to, or in her words a “spoof” of Hello Kitty and shows off Courtney’s acting chops. Remember she and Doug met because she was interested in an acting course he was teaching at the time. This video was published in May 2012, a full year after she and Doug were married.
Our next pick is Courtney’s PSA for going vegetarian. Courtney announced her support for anti-animal cruelty group PETA and decision to subscribe to a vegetarian diet in March of this year so it only makes sense that she would spread the vegetable gospel on her YouTube channel. Apparently even vegetables can be sexy. Take a look:
Her debut music video “Don’t Put It On Me” premiered on YouTube July 28, 2010 which pre-dates her online courtship with Doug. It is so awesomely bad that it rival’s Heidi Montag’s 2009 release of “Higher.” “Don’t Put It On Me” gets points because her dog is rocking a pink Rachel hair-do, beside that it takes place on a boat. This is a must-see for any Courtney fans out there:
Courtney’s YouTube channel boasts 9384 subscribers, over 50 different (and equally amazing) uploads and a whopping 13 million total views. After watching these videos, her behavior during the premiere of Couples Therapy certainly seems demure, but the jury is still out on whether or not she’s being real, or as she says RILL. Do you think Courntey is being real/RILL on Couples Therapy? Which of her videos is your favorite? Let us know in the comments section and don’t forget to tune in to Couples Therapy, Wednesday nights at 10/9c.
