We know it can be hard to watch a show like House Of Consignment where there’s amazing fashion everyone and get wistful that your own closet just doesn’t measure up. That’s why we’re excited to tell you that Corri McFadden and the rest of her eDrop-Off team totally understood that viewers would want in on the eBay action, so they’ve held one item from every closet clean out that’s featured this season on the show, and that piece will be placed in an auction that goes live immediately after every show. This week we have a custom-made formal dress from LaToiya’s closet, and a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta dress that comes straight from star Corri McFadden’s own closet. This week on Tough Love, the ladies were asked to create an online profile. Steve’s advice is to put themselves in the mind of a man reading the profile, rather than just writing about whatever comes to mind. Be honest, but be appealing. Some of the women are having a hard time figuring out what would appeal to a man, and some of them are just oblivious. Donna is tempted to write about her hero, Barbra Streisand. Elizabeth could write a novel about her estrangement from her family. And Despina, describing her ideal date, mentions that it should always end with sex. So of course, after they’ve written profiles like these, the only thing that makes sense for Steve to do is show the profiles to his man panel, who will judge them all. Read more…
Its time once again to welcome Royce Reed back to the blog so she can tell it like it is. For the past two seasons of Basketball Wives, Royce has recapped every episode, all the highs and lows, and given us her completely honest and unfiltered opinion. We’re thrilled to have her back for season four.
Last night’s show was a bit disturbing and I’m sure I might ruffle a few feathers but some things need to be said. I’m not going to go in any particular order I’m just going to speak on the issues as they come to mind.
It really confuses me as to why Jenn‘s “friends” keep coming up. In terms of Jenn’s bougie aura…it really hasn’t changed that much. She’s ALWAYS had an air about herself, but maybe it wasn’t recognized by Evelyn and Nia because she was their friend or because they didn’t care. Jenn speaking up and attempting to defend herself with words isn’t much different either, but I guess since she’s never defended herself against Evelyn, she now has “balls” and is considered fake. Season one of Stevie TV has drawn to a close, and Stevie Ryan has proven to be a mistress of disguise and impersonation. We’ve pulled together a playlist of our favorite sketches of the season, above, featuring some of Stevie’s best celebrity impressions, like her take on Kendra Wilkinson, Audrina Patridge, Justin Bieber, and of course, Kim Kardashian
Each week on this season of Basketball Wives, we’ve been doing our best to keep up with the recaps and blog posts the cast of the show has been writing to give their side of what’s really going down. This week, Jennifer addresses the continued “BS” and “foolery” (her words) with the fighting, and Evelyn focuses on the positive aspects of the episode like her photo shoot and birthday party, only devoting one sentence to Jen. We also grabbed a soundbite from Tami‘s blog which is pretty great this week as well. Here we go:
And the BS continues…I honestly could not stomach to watch last week’s episode. I had lived through the craziness and to relive it was just too much for me. But I would like to clarify a few things. First up, I never had an issue with “the assistant” up until that day. At one point, we were good friends. We went out together, went to dinner, stayed at each other’s houses and shared plenty of good times and laughs. There had been some incidents leading up to why I started pulling away from the friendship but I don’t feel the need to blast that information. However, the most important reason why I eased up on the friendship is because she started working for someone who refers to themselves as my “enemy.” To me being good friends would just cause the situation to be messy so I rather fall back. No love lost and I like I said, I didn’t have any issue with her until she put her hands on me.
In LA for an audition, La La and the ladies go out for some lunch and some much needed girl time. The conversation quickly turns to relationships and with Valentine’s Day fast approaching Dice admits to not having a Valentine. La asks if she’s upset since it’s the first time in six years that she hasn’t had a sweetheart on February 14th. Dice sadly replies: “nobody likes me.” Although we know that’s not true!
Single Ladies is going to heat up VH1 this summer, there’s no doubt about that. Check out LisaRaye McCoy, Charity Shea, and Denise Vasi in this brand new season two promo as they do their best to cool you off in advance…These three are easily the best looking ice cream saleswomen we’ve ever seen.
