Mayte Garcia, star of Hollywood Exes, has been dancing for pretty much her whole life, but it was her marriage to Prince that plopped her into the spotlight back in 1996. To learn more about Mayte, you can watch our video profile of the gorgeous actress/dancer, but to see her evolution through the years, we have a little photo gallery of some of her looks from her days as a dancer for her ex up till now.
Hollywood Exes airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Welcome to the world of Hollywood Exes. In the premiere episode, we met five women with illustrious pedigrees, having been married to some of the biggest stars…ever, really. But this isn’t a show about their ex-husbands, it’s about who these women are, and who they’ve become since they’ve moved on. They’re mothers, models, actresses, dancers, professionals, and bold personalities, but they also provide a support system for one another and are family. Oh, and they get their vaginas rejuvenated when necessary. Let’s meet them. Read more…
Remember in Dead Poet’s Society when Robin Williams tells his prep school students “Carpe diem! Seize the day, boys, make your lives extraordinary!”? Turns out, that’s Big Ang‘s exact same philosophy. Sort of. If you paraphrase and change the word “extraordinary” to one “party-filled.” In the supertrailer for her brand new series, Big Ang explains “My philosophy is ‘party everyday, live day for day, ’cause you never know when you’re gonna go.’” Close enough!
The series, which premieres on July 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, will feature some folks you know (Ang, her son AJ, her dog Lil’ Louie) and some you don’t, like her sister Janine, her bartenders Anthony and Franky, and her besties Linda and Lil’ Jen. (These people are “wackos that are loyal,” the main criteria for being in Ang’s circle.) Meet them all in the clip above, and for a couple more vintage photos of Big Ang, check them out after the jump. Read more…
It would be easy to call Mimi Faust the “long-suffering girlfriend” of Stevie Jon Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta, but the fact is, she’s stuck by him and claims that their connection is what keeps them together and the suffering he’s caused seems pretty recent. In an interview with V103 radio host Egypt, Mimi discusses her situation with Stevie and how it’s actually changed recently, and she also talks about her relationship with the other more controversial women on the show. Here are some snippets:
Mimi on how long she’s known Stevie: I want to clear this up. I’ve known him for fifteen years. We have dated off and on. I have not been with Stevie straight for fifteen years. I was absolutely not with Stevie when he was with Eve. I wasn’t with Stevie when he was with Alex, Whoopi Goldberg’s daughter. I was not with Stevie when he was in any other relationship. So I’ve known Stevie for fifteen years and we’ve dated off and on but for the past three and a half, four years we have been together.
On why she’s stayed with him: What I think what it is for me the connection that him and I had and also I’m just…flat out he lies to me a lot. I mean that’s just the bottom line. He’ll say one thing to me and he’ll say one thing to her or whoever else but and I’m not with him when he’s out with anyone else. I only know what goes on when we’re together. Read more…
We know just how huge Big Ang is — in every way possible — and now we want to give you a (non-surgical) way to make yourself resemble the wiseguy-lovin’ lady too. Introducing Big Ang Lips. Over on Ang’s new Tumblr site, they’ve provided instructions on how to turn any photo into a plumped-up masterpiece. We’ve given the rest of the cast of Mob Wives some artificial injections, above, and after the jump you can check out a few of our favorite celebs like Ryan Gosling and Snooki wearing a new pair of luscious Ang lips, too. For full instructions and a link to download the lips and make your own, click here.

Laura and Gloria Govan are busy filming season two of Basketball Wives L.A. but they also know how to manage their fun time, because they were on the red carpet of Tyler Perry’s latest film Madea’s Witness Protection last night. In the interview above with our very own Janell Snowden, the sisters (who look fantastic, by the way) discuss what to expect on the show next season and we can’t wait. “You gotta bring it when it comes to Basketball Wives, Laura says. “So it’s brought.” Laura does admit that she’s trying to control her temper this season, but filming still has about two more months to go, so anything’s possible!
When Gloria was asked what she thought of the rumored casting changes in the Miami cast, she was all for it, and managed to drop one very big hint about the cast while she was at it, saying “On these kinds of shows you do kinda need to freshen up…I think it’s only natural to kind of replace and bring in, and we’ve done that on our show as well.” OH REALLY?? Time to place bets on what kinds of shakeups Gloria’s referring to!
In case you couldn’t tell from our interview with Single Ladies designer and guest star Anthony L. Williams, we adore this man. He was absolutely hilarious and charming to talk to, and his fashions speak for themselves. Last season he was the exclusive stylist for Stacey Dash when she appeared on the show as Val, and we were lucky enough to have him speak to us then about her style, and this season when we actually saw some of his designs up close, we were even more impressed. Now that you’ve seen last night’s show, we wanted to give you a few more photos of the dresses that Anthony designed, from the ones you saw on the ladies to a few you didn’t see that were just used as gorgeous set pieces. Oh, and click through the entire gallery to see the shoes this man rocked on set. In-sane.
“It’s not about them, it’s about us,” Mayte Garcia told Big Morning Buzz Live host Carrie Keagan today when she appeared, along with the rest of the cast of Hollywood Exes, on the morning show. Carrie had just asked how the women’s former husbands must feel knowing their exes are now on a VH1 reality show. “It’s all good. We’re doing our thing,” co-star Nicole Murphy added.
The five stars of the show, Garcia, Murphy, Sheree Fletcher,Jessica Canseco, and Andrea Kelly, appeared on Buzz and showed off the hilarious, sisterly camaraderie they share — seriously, this might be the most laughter-filled segment in TV history. Oh, and don’t get Jessica started on vaginal rejuvenation, because that’ll take over the conversation. We also have another clip of the women below as they play a dishy game with Carrie called “The Ex-Files” and talk about the best gifts they received from their old flames and the words they’d use to describe their exes now.

“I ain’t trying to fight no more, I just wanna get that cake,” Lil Scrappy told the Breakfast Club when he appeared on the Power105.1 radio show yesterday. The star of Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta continued to make the rounds this week and talked about using the show as a means to an end (the end being a paycheck), and he talked more about his past relationship with Diamond, too.
In the clip above, Scrappy talks about how his mother, Momma Dee, and his baby mama Erica both have a problem with his ex, Diamond (rightfully so), and he also sets the record straight on his on-air scuffle with Stevie J, and the controversy around Joseline.
