Jennifer Gimenez On Episode 3 Of Rehab With Dr. Drew: “The Sick Can’t Lead The Sick”

Each week after Rehab With Dr. Drew, we’ll be talking to some of the staff on hand at the Pasadena Recovery Center to find out everything that went down in front of and behind the camera with this season’s group of patients. This week we spoke to our friend Jennifer Gimenez, the resident technician at the facility who had battled demons on her own, and she offered up her insight and some behind-the-scenes details about Erika and her positive drug test, and the trap of “enabling someone into a grave.”

Let’s start with one of the final moments of the show. When you were testing Erika for drugs, were you really expecting her test result to come back positive?

Well, her boyfriend was there earlier, and she was acting odd, it went on for a long time and I was kind of monitoring what was going on. Her behavior was very erratic and she was not herself. The fact that the boyfriend was there and she had already been saying “I love him but he does drugs with me,” you know, and you see her on the phone with him, he was calling her all the time, wasted, you’re like, okay this guy is ill. Dr. Drew made the point that he’s a good guy but he has a bad addiction. She’s at a point right now where she just wants to use, and he’s part of her drug. Read more…

Discussing Rehab With Dr. Drew Episode 3 With Dr. John Sharp

Each week on Rehab With Dr. Drew, we’ll be talking to some of the staff on hand at the Pasadena Recovery Center to find out everything that went down in front of and behind the camera with this season’s group of patients. This week we spoke to Dr. John Sharp, who appeared last season on Celebrity Rehab and was this season’s Associate Medical Director, Psychiatrist on Call, and Director of Aftercare for the program. Dr. Sharp worked closely with the patients to make sure they remained stable and successful throughout the recovery process.

How was the experience of filming this season overall?

Well, so you’ll remember that I only have last season to compare, so compared to my year of treating celebrities this has been a refreshingly different. You know the patients came to us from a variety of places and a variety of ways, but they’re all youngish and eager really to see how they can kind of get their going in a different direction. Everybody came with a freshness and an enthusiasm and the stated interest to get their lives kind of on track in a way that they’ve either hadn’t ever been or hadn’t been in a while. Chrissy And Mr. Jones Episode 2 Sneak Peek: Chef Boyardee, Baby!

If Jim had it his way, he and Chrissy would already have a dozen kids. But if Chrissy had it her way, she’d be freezing her eggs away in the egg-atorium and waiting until she’s ready, whenever that day might get here. K.Michelle Declares She Will Be Back For Season Two Of Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta But She’ll Never Be Cool With Rasheeda

There’s still an awful lot of time before Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta‘s second season goes into production, but in this video clip above, K.Michelle has already decided to return for another go. She explains “I will be returning for another season!” but continues by saying that you shouldn’t expect her to try and mend any fences with Rasheeda down the line. “I don’t think I’ll ever be cool with Rasheeda again because she adds no value to my life,” K. Michelle says in this interview with Madame Noire. “I just real big on being really ride or die. I don’t do things for TV shows.” And she’s also definitely not jealous of Rasheeda just because she’s a wife either. Watch the video above for her explanation why.

T.I. And Tiny: The Family Hustle Episode 6 Sneak Peek: Like A Boss

Tip and the family Harris are in Chicago again this week, this time so he can film on the show Boss. Oooh, it’s a show within a show.

But his kids aren’t really impressed by dad’s acting gig, especially Domani, who thinks acting is easy and there’s no way his dad is a better actor than Denzel Washington. This is the same kid that wants a jet for his birthday, so in my opinion, he better start throwing some compliments out before it’s too late. So will Tip ever impress his son and make him realize the acting stuff takes some skill? Tune in Monday night at 9 p.m. ET/PT to find out.

Pic Of The Day: Big Ang Works It On The Set Of Scary Movie 5

Yup, Big Ang is about to become a movie star. The larger than life lady we love just filmed her part for Scary Movie 5, and we found this still image, along with her fellow reality star Sheree Whitfield, from their time on the set. The bad news: the movie doesn’t come out until April 19, 2013. That’s like, an eternity from now. Way to go, Big Ang!!

Meet The Fascinating Courtney And Doug In This Sneak Peek From Episode One Of Couples Therapy

“Obviously people disagree with our union because we have that controversial age gap,” Courtney Stodden explains in this sneak peek from episode one of Couples Therapy, which premieres next Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Despite the other, more visible reasons the union turns heads — Courtney’s love for PVC skirts with a 0-inch inseam, the fact that husband Doug Hutchison has Courtney’s name shaved into his 52-year-old head — the age gap is definitely the biggie, and it’s about to cause a lot of problems for their co-stars on the show as well. In this clip, Courtney giggles her way through their interview while Doug explains that he’s “raising” his wife, and elaborates on the toll that their relationship has taken on his family who has disowned him.

Mimi Faust Calls Filming Season One Of Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta “Terrible” and Six Other Crazy Things She Reveals In A New Interview

Mimi Faust called in to Street Disciplez Radio this week and she didn’t waste any time talking Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta and giving her honest opinion of the show. We won’t waste any time either, here now are our favorite moments from the chat.

1) When asked what it was like filming her first season of the show she answered “It was terrible. It was absolutely awful.”

2) She claims she did not “stick with Stevie” and they are not together. “I didn’t stick with anything. Just because I agreed to go to counseling doesn’t mean I stuck with him. That was me agreeing to go to counseling and me agreeing to sit down with him.” She says right now she is currently single.

3) She hasn’t ruled out season two. Since she put it out there that she didn’t enjoy season one, the hosts ask her if that means she’s ruled out doing a season two, to which she replied “I wouldn’t say that at all.” She didn’t enjoy season one because she was surprised by so many things, but perhaps with another season, she might have more control.

4) She found out about Joseline‘s abortion by watching the show, not in real time when it happened.

5) She does her very own impression of Joseline (listen to it at the 4:58 mark). Mimi’s not getting sent back to no strip clubs.

6) Men come up to her and hit on her by saying “I wouldn’t cheat on you, baby.”

7) She’s got an agent now and she has a clothing line, a home organizing brand and a home accessories line coming out soon, and the show has been great for her business.

Download Do Something! Awards Finalist Darius Weems’ Song On iTunes And Help Make Him A Star For A Day

The Do Something! Awards always tend to make us smile and cry at the same time, and this story about one recent finalist who appeared on the show might actually make you run out of emotions to feel when you watch it.

Darius Weems has spent his life fighting for disability rights after being diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and for his twenty-third birthday, his friends are trying to make him an overnight rap star. In the video above, the story is all laid out: Darius’ friends try to give him the best birthday possible every year, and this year Darius recorded a song called “Thank You For 23” which you can download on iTunes. His friends have started an internet campaign (the song has already hit #36 on the hip hop chart!) to make him a star overnight, and they’re asking for some extra support. At the moment Darius is in the hospital receiving treatment and his friends plan to reveal his chart-topper to him today because he has no idea about their plan, so all they ask is that you visit their Facebook page if you’d like to share a message or photo of support, and download the song to make Darius rapper for a day. It doesn’t hurt that the song’s pretty awesome, too.

Happy birthday, Darius! Don’t forget about us when you’re a super-famous hip hop star.

Throwback Thursday Pic: A Young Dr. Drew During The Loveline Era

We’ve got a new feature here on the VH1 Blog in honor of Throwback Thursday, and it involves some of the most retro, often embarrassing, always cute photos of our favorite VH1 stars. This week, we snagged a picture from 1998 of Dr. Drew during his Loveline days, attending the MTV Video Music Awards with his former co-host Adam Carolla. How is it possible for someone to look so different but also exactly the same over 14 years later?
