Bell said of her deal “I am excited to work with Bungalo Records on this distribution deal and can’t wait for the world to hear my music. It has been a lifelong dream to record an album and share my passion of singing with the world.” Broadway World reports that Kenya’s deal is actually the first of its kind. “The distribution deal is unprecedented: No other reality television personality associated with a franchise of its kind, has successfully signed a major deal to release music,” they write.
We also spoke to Kenya this afternoon and she told us her single, “Hate Me,” will be out on December 11, and that it was actually her Basketball Wives co-stars’ criticism last season that fueled her and motivated her to lock down this deal. “I was floored [when Bungalo called me], I was like, ‘Really? Didn’t the basketball wives tell me I had no chance?’ It felt so good to me, obviously they believe that I have something, I have talent, and for me that’s just amazing. I was doubting everything I did before, and I’m learning to not doubt myself no matter what is said. I learned to listen to criticism and change it for the better, but I’m still going to believe in myself and believe I can make this thing happen. It was shocking when I first showed [my co-stars] the video and they were like ‘Eh, what is that??’ like it was the worst thing ever.” But she says that just served to push her even further. “I’m still writing my own music and working with Jazzy Faye and Young Money and I’m doing even better stuff than before. My co-stars just made me better.”
Perhaps no one in the VH1 family has worked so hard and so tirelessly to help victims of Hurricane Sandy as the Mob Wives have. From their hands-on work cleaning up Staten Island to their fundraising efforts, they have all played a part raising awareness on behalf of those who still need aid and support as a result of the storm’s devastation. In this public service announcement, they continue their efforts, this time on behalf of TunnelToTowers.org. Check out the clip above, and donate to the New York City charity that was founded in the aftermath of 9/11 and has dedicated itself to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most in New York and beyond.
Caution! Most of this post is NSFW, because Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta‘s Joseline knows how to craft a profanity-laden tweet, and over the weekend, she was on a roll with them. From the sound of it, Joseline and her boo Stevie J. may have had a falling out because she had some pretty unkind things to say about him, which we’ve copied for you after the jump. We’ve blurred out some of the offending language but basically it’s all pretty offensive so don’t say we didn’t warn you. Read more…
Each week after Rehab With Dr. Drew, we’ll be talking to some of the staff on hand at the Pasadena Recovery Center to find out everything that happened in front of and behind the camera with this season’s group of patients. This week we spoke to Dr. John Sharp, who appeared last season on Celebrity Rehab and was this season’s Associate Medical Director, Psychiatrist on Call, and Director of Aftercare for the program. Dr. Sharp worked closely with the patients to make sure they remained stable and successful throughout the recovery process. Read more…
Each week after Rehab With Dr. Drew, we’ll be talking to some of the staff on hand at the Pasadena Recovery Center to find out everything that went down in front of and behind the camera with this season’s group of patients. This week we spoke to our friend Jennifer Gimenez, the resident technician at the facility who has battled demons on her own, discusses her Drewbee’s sudden departure from rehab and having to chase him (in flip flops) through Pasadena. Rehab With Dr. Drew has proven to be a powerful show resonating with many viewers, some of whom are afflicted with addictions and dependency issues of their own. Each week, we’re inundated with requests from viewers seeking help. While Dr. Drew has treated and continues to treat many addicts, he’s not able to treat every fan of the show. For this reason, we’d like to pass along two resources that Dr. Drew and his team have suggested for those of you in need of help: DrugFree.org and Hazelden.org.
We’re grateful that so many fans have reached out, and we hope these resources help people find the treatment they may need.
VH1 is a television programming service and is not a provider of medical services or advice relating to treatment.

After having it out last week on Basketball Wives L.A., it’s hard to imagine that Brooke and Jackie could ever be friends, but in this sneak peek from Monday’s show, it looks like that just might happen after all. The two women meet up to apologize for their behavior and poof, just like that, they manage to put the past behind them. “We could laugh at it now,” Jackie explains after they hug it out.
But will Laura and her schemes get in the way of Jackie’s relationship with Brooke and the rest of the girls down the line? That’s another subject entirely.
Basketball Wives L.A. airs Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
