The women of VH1 have been inspiring, infuriating, stylish, silly, hilarious, and riveting all year long, and we want to know which of them you love the most. Each day, we’ll be polling fans here on the blog to narrow down the field show by show — each poll will yield one winner, and next week, on December 26th, we’ll crown one ultimate Fierce Female of 2012. Today is going to be a difficult one, because we’re pitting the cast of Basketball Wives against one another, and ALL of these ladies are the definition of fierce, so we don’t envy you guys for choosing. Who will it be?
Hard to believe that season two of Basketball Wives L.A. is really and truly over, so that means this is the last time we’ll be scanning the sassy, saucy, scathing tweets of the cast during the show for a while. Last night’s reunion was contentious at times, and the cast still harbors some ill feelings for each other (i.e. Bambi and Laura), but there also seems to be some real-life reconciliation happening too (i.e. Laura and Jackie). To see what that wives were discussing in real time during the reunion, have a look-see at their best tweets of the night. Thanks for sharing your thoughts all season, ladies.
Laura Govan, despite what you’ve seen all season on Basketball Wives L.A., swears she’s cool now with Jackie Christie. When I spoke to her at the reunion, she explained that they two are on huggy, cordial terms with one another now, but there’s a difference between cordial and real friendship. “If she got jumped in the club, would I help her? No. If she tripped and fell, would I pick her up? No. If I see her I’m definitely going to say hi and give her a hug,” Laura said when I asked her to clarify their relationship. (I can’t say I understand it any better now, unfortunately.) In our chat we talked about the highs and lows of season two, and the one thing that irks her about the show these days — like everyone else in the world, she’s critical of the title and how it doesn’t apply to everyone in her cast anymore. See what else Laura has to say below.
So how are you feeling about the reunion, are you worried about anything in particular?
Maybe just if I fall asleep during it. Outside of that, no.

Usually when these reunions come along, fashion-wise it’s all about the shoes. From the red bottoms that we’re so familiar with (and frankly kind of tired of) to the spiky, dangerous stilettos to the occasional thigh-high boot, we’ve seen a lot of daring footwear on the stage at these things, but the Basketball Wives L.A. cast took things in a different direction this season. Yes, their shoes were on point, but it was their nails that really won us over. Draya is never without flashy nails, so we noticed hers immediately, but as we went down the line, everyone had some kind of adornment, whether it was crystals, glitter, or just a neutral polish with some gorgeous finger cuffs like Brooke wore, and we were impressed. Check out all the finger bling (blingertips?) below. (And apologies, we’d never use the word “bling” unless it was absolutely necessary to the pun.)
We’ve come to the end. Basketball Wives L.A. is over, the second part of the reunion has wrapped, and while Laura apologized to Jackie, there was still a low simmer beneath all the girls whose beefs continued and seemed to go unresolved. And then just as the show was ending, a new beef between Laura and Draya began out of nowhere and left us feeling even more confused than ever. Who while this reunion may not have reunited all the women, it was still entertaining, and we chose our favorite moments to highlight below.
Who Should Not Return?
Last week’s reunion was a bit of a cliffhanger. Host John Salley asked the ladies to choose a cast member that they would not want to return for another season of the show, but before we could find out the ladies’ choices, we were abruptly cut off. This week though, we learned the results. Bambi obviously wants the Govans gone,Brooke and Laura want Bambi to leave,Gloria gave the boot to Malaysia (who, in turn chose Gloria), Draya wants Laura to leave, and most surprising, Jackie took herself off the show, saying “I just feel like they’d be happier if I wasn’t here. But I’m going to be here if there’s another season.” Read more…

In case you missed any of our VH1 DIVAS Red Carpet coverage last night,Jackie Christie was on fire, chatting away with all of our favorites, including her fellow NBA wife, La La Anthony. In the clip above, La La, who was sparkling in a CD Greene dress, talked about how this look was pulled together by her stylist to help her “shine bright like a diamond.” And if ever there was a night to do just that, it’s at DIVAS.
La La also mentioned her excitement at watching her two best pals, Kelly Rowland and Ciara, perform on stage last night — watch her chat about them now! Read more…
To hear the ladies of Basketball Wives L.A. talk about each other, you get the sense that some of them are playing each other and some of them have a false sense of friendship, while others are just sitting on a fence trying to decide which side to be on. Recently we asked the Wives to label their cast mates as a friend, foe, or fake, to see how they really feel about one another, and while some of the answers were predictable, others were surprising (Jackie still considers Gloria a friend, while Gloria has a less kind word for what she thinks Jackie is…). Click the link above to see how all the ladies really feel about each other.
