In case you hasn’t noticed, there are a lot of beautiful women on this new season of Love And Hip Hop, and each one has a style all their own. From Tahiry‘s curves to Erica‘s…other curves, to everyone in between, the ladies (and yes, the guys too) have a lot to show off, and they wear their clothes well. In this clip, check out the sexiest styles worn by the cast thus far this season.
In recent interviews, Tami Roman has discussed how the next season of Basketball Wives is going to be more “family-oriented.” But as she clarifies this week, there will still be some drama to look forward to. While explaining what she meant in her initial comments, she tells TaniaOnTheScene.com that this season will focus on her life outside of the ladies, and we’ll see even more of her family and business side. “My life doesn’t revolve around Evelyn, Shaunie, and whoever else may be on the show…we wanted to have a little more balance, that’s what I meant by ‘family-oriented,’” she says.
“This time around we decided to show and present more of a balance,” but there will be some moments of conflict along the way, she continued. “I will tell you this, and I don’t want to give too much away, but I have always been a person that’s gonna speak my mind and say exactly how I feel, and for the first time I actually have a little to say to Miss Shaunie O’Neal, so that’s going to be quite interesting for people to see.”
Basketball Wives isn’t the only project the very busy Ms. Roman has been working on, she also discusses her new scripted series, Belles, at length in the clip above. Belles debuts on TV One on February 1st.
On this week’s edition of “Check Yourself,” the web series where we get to see the cast of Love And Hip Hop watch their scenes and react in real time, everyone’s a little feisty. “I didn’t know Olivia was coming to the studio with her Sally Jessy Raphael glasses on,” Consequence says when he spots Olivia in her red eyewear. Then he says he would “never, ever, ever again” work with Rich, Erica, or Olivia, professionally. Yikes. Watch the entire episode which also features commentary from Yandy and Mendeecees, and Joe and Tahiry.
Jenny McCarthy really gives her fans what they want in this promo for her brand new talk show: nip slips and up-skirts. The woman has given us so much of herself in the past, she probably figured it was time to let her inner starlet out, you know? That’s the very reason we’re so excited to see her on VH1′s The Jenny McCarthy Show, when it debuts Friday, February 8 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT — she’s going to bare her soul, her personality, her hilarity…and who knows what else.
Wherever there’s conflict, you’ll find Erica.
She isn’t happy about Lore’l‘s comments about her kicking the father of her child in the neck. Cutting Lore’l off would be too mature for Erica so instead she meets up with her ex-friend with lots of attitude. Erica proudly brags, “I’m the type of female that ain’t scared of nothing.” Lore’l doesn’t think being crazy is cute. “It’s not about being scared it’s about looking crazy,” Lore’l told her. This only enrages Erica more. “I brought it up to give you life,” Erica said angrily. “Your lifeline is dead.” And so is their faux friendship. Read more…
They haven’t even appeared onscreen together yet this season on Love And Hip Hop, but judging from this Breakfast Club interview, there’s drama brewing between Consequence and Raqi Thunda. Cons and his girlfriend Jen The Pen appeared on the radio show yesterday, and when Raqi’s name was brought up, the two immediately launched into a tirade, calling Raqi “basic” and a “starving raccoon” — and those were some of the nicer things he lobbed her way.
Cons also discussed whether or not he’d ever work with Joe Budden, explaining “We don’t bump like that.” He also has some strong words for everyone else in the music industry too, from Kanye to Q-Tip, and reveals a few secrets he knows about Kim and Kanye, too.
After the jump, check out Raqi’s tweet in response to the interview to see how she feels about this.
Black Ink Crew star Dutchess describes herself as “Classy, sophisticated, and aggressive. Aggressive because I’m a strong, independent black woman.” But when Ceaser, her boss, gets a chance to chime in, his description is “evil-ass southern belle.” It’s the classic “boys tease you when they like you” move, and Ceaser clearly crushes on her while also keeping his distance because she can probably whoop his butt if necessary.
Dutchess and the rest of the cast of the show are visiting the VH1 office in between filming the show and explains that later in the day, she has to head back to the shop to give a new client a tattoo…on his penis. It’s not the first time she’s done this and she says it’s because she’s a woman, she gets stuck with these dirty jobs. “All of the dudes are like, I don’t wanna do that. It’s always the woman that gets the bulls—! Like you have to do the jobs they don’t want to do.” A penis tattoo is hardly the worst thing she’s ever had to give, however. That honor goes to a woman Dutchess had to ink a few years back. “I’ve done a starfish on a girl’s butt-hole. That is like, ridiculous to me. It was while I was in California, I had a guest spot in a shop out there and she comes in and she’s like, I wanna get a starfish. It’s disgusting. My thing is, why do you even wanna do that to yourself? Nobody’s ever gonna see it, what purpose does it serve? It’s not for me.” Read more…
“I told Ceaser he should get a crown tattooed on top of his a—hole because he’s the king of all a—holes,” Black Ink Crew star Sassy tells me when I ask the cast about their boss. When I ask if that hurts Ceaser’s feelings, Sassy jumps in to answer again, saying “It doesn’t! That’s how he introduced himself to me!” and Ceaser nods in agreement. From what we’ve seen so far on the show, the guy is a tough boss, but he does have a sensitive, tender side, too. I mean, this is a man who, when I ask if he has a favorite outfit to wear while he tattoos, he tells me “I put on my UGG slippers. They’re nice and toasty.”
When he hung out with us in the office recently, we chatted with Ceaser and the rest of the Black Ink Crew to discuss style, life as a reality star, and what his flirtation with Dutchess is really all about — check out our photos and more quotes from him after the jump. Read more…
