
Last week, a premiere party for VH1′s new docu-series Love & Hip Hop was held at New York’s District 36 nightclub. VH1′s own Lacey Seidman was on hand to dig the scene. Her report is below…
Hip-hop’s elite emerged from the concrete jungle last Wednesday to celebrate the premiere of Love and Hip Hop, VH1′s new docu-series featuring five strong women, all fighting tooth and nail to survive in New York’s competitive hip-hop scene. Whether they love and support the mic-toting men they’re involved with, or are chasing their own musical dreams, you'll see these ladies divulge details about themselves and their personal lives in each episode. We had the privilege of attending the high-profile event, whose attendees included the full cast, rappers Jim Jones and Vinnie from Naughty By Nature, hip-hop executive Mike Kyser, TV personality and model Tocarra, and Jennifer Williams from Basketball Wives. Guests were presented with an advanced screening of the show (premiering Monday, March 14th at 10:30/9:30c), and we, of course, had to take a moment and sit down with the starlets themselves!
