Last night, while standing on a riser in the middle of a sea of costumed, half-naked Angelinos gettin’ down to Robyn, I shouted to no one in particular, “This is so f*cking cool!” The ethereal Swedish singer was performing as part of MTV’s O Music Awards, which celebrates the best in online music with an interactive and strictly digital interface. Fans voted online (over 22.2 million times) in categories such as Digital Genius (Bjork) and Best Web Born Artist (Kina Grannis), and the show was streamed live on MTV.com, VH1.com and LOGOtv.com.
We’re super excited for Single Ladies, VH1’s new movie and scripted series that debuts TONIGHT at 8 p.m. ET/PT. We were lucky enough to visit the set to catch a full day of shooting, and chatted with the cast and crew about why viewers should make sure and tune-in tonight (as if Executive Producer Queen Latifah and guest appearances by Eve, Common, Chilli and Kim Porter aren’t enough of a reason).
We hung out with Stacey Dash (stunning), Lauren London (adorable), LisaRaye McCoy (gorg), Charity Shea (so pretty) and Timon Durrett (our future baby-daddy) about their work on the movie/series, and they convinced us in 0.2 seconds to glue ourselves to the television and set a season pass for the show on our DVR. As LisaRaye says, Single Ladies is “the female bonding movie that you can also sit down and have your man watch with you.” Uh, we’re sold.
Check out their answers and their hotness (seriously guys, they are all so hot) above.
We were lucky enough to connect with the lovely Stacey Dash on the set ofSingle Ladies in Atlanta last summer, and we got down with a little bit of girl talk about relationships, the parallels between her own life and her character’s, and how it feel being single for the first time in, like, ever. Check out our chat and tune in next Monday, May 30th at 8 p.m. ET/PT to see Stacey in action on the small screen!
Having trouble landing a date? Never fear! The wise stars of VH1’s Single Ladieshad a lot to say on the topic when we visited them on-set in Atlanta. Check out the clip above to bask in the advice of stars Lauren London, Stacey Dash and Charity Shea, and don’t forget to check out the show when it premieres on Monday, May 30th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
We chatted with the lovely Lily Collins this week as she stopped by Big Morning Buzz Live to promote her new movie Priest. We’re super excited for all of the movies she has coming down the pipeline too — Abduction with rumored boyfriend Taylor Lautner, The Mortal Instruments series, and of course – The Brother’s Grimm: Snow White. The film has some competition—Kristen Stewart‘s starring in Snow White and the Huntsman alongside Charlize Theron, Sam Claflin and possibly Chris Hemsworth (fingers crossed). We asked the actress how it feels to be working on one of the two Snow White flicks—check out her answer above.
We go to chat with Lily Collins when she stopped by VH1 to promote Priest on Big Morning Buzz Live, and when she wasn’t charming us with picture perfect hair and those brows (truly luscious in person) she dished about Taylor Lautner teaching her to deal with super-fans (clip above) and how she plans on approaching that kinda-creepy but also totally awesome relationship between Jace and Clary in The Mortal Instruments (clip below). But even more magical is the moment we showed her the giant Twilight cup we drink out of every day. Amazingly, she did not jump under a cubicle and hide away in fear and disgust. That alone makes her Person #1 in our book.
You know what we got to do yesterday afternoon? Sit within three feet of Rihanna during her interview with VH1 News. We were just three feet away from perfection, from her delicately coiffed red curls and her razor sharp orange nails, AND HER LEGS. Her legs, guys. Did we mention her laugh? It’s like the sound of fairies dancing on cotton candy clouds. Check out her giggle in the clip above and try to tell us we’re wrong!
Sigh. So yeah, uh, Rihanna is sublime, and looked effortlessly amazing as usual in a floral jumper with matching sea blue heels. The singer is performing on Saturday Night Live this weekend (his Royal hotness Jon Hamm is the host) and RiRi all but confirmed in our interview that another digital short was in the works, after she killed it with last season’s Shy Ronnie. She also declared her love for the show and its cast, telling VH1, “Everybody there is about having fun and talking sh*t.”
Nuff said. Check out Rihanna’s interview with VH1 News above and her last stint on SNL below, and tune in to Vh1’s Top 20 Video Countdown to watch her video for “Only Girl.”
No, really – she could! Good ol’ Jessica Simpson and her BFF 4 lyfe Ken Paves got through a boring plane trip playing a little game of fun with wigs recently, and she shared the results with her Twitter followers. Check out another photo of Jessica’s short ‘do at TheFABlife.
