The Celebreality Interview – Gabby

gabby

Gabby won the very first skills test on Scream Queens 2. And that win saved her from becoming the first elimination, according to the judges. Those ups and downs would repeat for several episodes, until she actually started to believe she could win. Below Gabby talks about her Scream Queens victory, filming her part for Saw 3D, and her relationships to the other actresses and her mentor on the show, John Homa. Acting and self-confidence in her skills are still works in progress for her. In fact, after all the praise, she still worries that her final scene on the show doesn’t look as good as she hoped. “I’m so nervous to see it, I have no idea!” she says. If only there were some sort of title or award to show her how good she was.

La La’s Full Court Wedding Recap – Episode 2 – In The Red

There’s a poignant moment in this week’s La La’s Full Court Wedding where La La Vazquez and her family talk about growing up in the Marcy Projects and where they are now — celebrating La La’s lavish upcoming wedding in a nice restaurant. They toast the fact that she’s still humble. It’s sweet, but more telling is the $6,000 worth of red Czech-made glass that La La is having flown in for the wedding reception. But back home, she and her friends toast her fiance Carmelo Anthony’s birthday with red plastic Solo cups, 50 for $5.

The Celebreality Interview – Sarah

screamqueens204-00082

Chicago actress Sarah Alami had many things going for her on Scream Queens. She is a gorgeous woman who, despite her unique beauty, still comes off like the girl next door. Her thick Midwestern accent — as well as her tomboyish farm girl upbringing — probably help, as does her rather shy personality. Though she became bolder as the show went on, Sarah’s homesickness distracted her from the challenges. When she was eliminated last week, she was genuinely relieved — talking to her young daughter again outweighed any feelings she had about leaving Scream Queens.

In this interview she talks about her best Scream Queens challenges, her friendships in the house, seducing John Homa, and her Fangoria spread (that’s her winning photo above). Even when it comes to her challenge win, Sarah’s modest. “I don’t really see what everybody else sees. It’s amazing to get praise, and I’m very thankful for it, but I don’t know?” she says, “It’s just make-up. You put on make-up, everybody looks like that.”

Everybody does not look like that.

The T.O. Show 2 Recap – Season 2 Finale

The T.O. Show takes a huge right turn for its finale, ending up in a place that you couldn’t have predicted, even if you watched every episode this season. The biggest surprise? Terrell ends this season by proposing to ex-girlfriend Kari, who’s been absent for the nearly half the season. All along the show hinted at either a new relationship with Kita Williams, or a renewed one with his ex-fiancée Felisha Terrell, so all this is a bit of a shock. And it must be for Kari as well. We don’t get to hear Kari’s answer (she spends about 10 seconds trying to figure out if Terrell is serious). But here’s a bad sign: During a girls’ night out, Kita and Monique Jackson tells Felisha that Terrell still has the ring from their broken engagement. Is it the same ring he gives Kari later? We don’t know for sure, but it’s not a good way to start out a new engagement.

The finale’s other surprise is the end of Terrell and Monique’s professional relationship and friendship. It all starts with Terrell coming over to see Mo’s new baby. She tells Terrell that he should try to reconnect with his own son, which bothers him. In the above clip, Terrell hints that Monique should focus on doing her job instead of telling him what to do with his personal life. He also mentions that, because of her pregnancy, Monique’s “dropped the ball” on a few of his appointments. They start arguing, while Kita tries to calm each of them down. It doesn’t work. Could this episode be the series finale, as well as the season finale?

The Celebreality Interview – Allison

screamqueens202-001051

As she had been all season, L.A. actress Allison Kyler was outspoken about her rather early elimination from Scream Queens last week. Part of it was because she had so much going for her coming in: a resume of acting gigs, plenty of dancing and choreography experience. And her early challenges showed she could take the advice John Homa and Tim Sullivan gave her to produce compelling, good-looking scenes. But her inability to control her eyes — both on and off-camera — got her axed far earlier than expected.

Below, Allison explains how a handicap turned her director’s cut into a “trainwreck.” But clearly she’s not a complainer. Allison is just as tough on herself as she was on the other actresses. She’s got an especially dry sense of humor, which didn’t always translate on camera. “Hopefully I don’t sound like an even bigger bitch off of this [interview],” she says. “I feel like I just say what I’m thinking and I feel like some people just take it the wrong way. Everybody needs to lighten up!”

The T.O. Show 2 – Season 2, Episode 9

This week’s episode of The T.O. Show focuses on more change for Terrell Owens. First there’s the shift he’s making from professional athlete to professional something else. He tried out some modeling, and this week he works on his acting career, going on an audition that Monique Jackson and Kita Williams fought hard for. He does a reading for the part of a professional athlete opposite Tatyana Ali, who Terrell remembers from The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. She’s also a Harvard graduate and a singer, so it’s surprising that Kita doesn’t set them up, on her everlasting quest to get Terrell into a relationship with a strong black woman.

While Terrell works on his callback audition and acting skills, Mo and Kita work on reconnecting Terrell with his children. We’ve seen him hang out with his two daughters, but he also has a son that he’s never met. Though Mo and Kita debate bringing it up with Terrell, it turns out it’s always been on his mind. He talks about his son with his therapist, and his fears over repeating the same relationship he had with his father.

But both his acting career and his relationships with his children get put on hold when Mo goes into labor. Terrell and Kita show up at the hospital, as does Terrell’s ex-fiance Felisha Terrell. They haven’t seen each other in over a year, but Kita — who stayed friends with Felisha — keeps hoping they’ll get back together, and a hospital room’s as good a place as any to rekindle a relationship.
