It’s really hard to feel any sympathy for these mostly talentless “celebs”, when they behave like the spoiled, self-absorbed ego-addicts that they are. I know it’s made for television, but in reality, who wouldn’t have thrown most of these losers into the street, just for being so obnoxious. The Kari Peniche girl, whoever the hell she is, should be (((!#`#@(!$`**$(^ slapped and made to get a real job. The rest of them need to work in food service.

#1) My condolences truly go out to Mackenzie Phillips and her late pet Max. I too have a pet (ironically named Max) that too is old, thin and on meds for her failing lungs. I know what it is like to hold onto someone you love, and how hard it is to make a decision like the one you had to make laying him to rest. My heart goes out to you. I am pulling for you to do well.
#2) WHO THE HELL IS THIS KARI `%__+&_#_&@+(%~~_ If this stuck up, passive-aggressive, two-face, %~$!^*&*!+!@_*%) ty-ass acting %#+^^^))~~@@~#(& doesn’t want to play nice & clean up her act then get the ~#)*%&$($_%)&!*~ off of the show & make room for someone who does! You may “think” you are pretty on the outside, but you’re the ‘ugly old `%__+&_#_&@+(%~~_ on the outside!!!
P.S~ and if Dennis doesn’t want help, then he needs to go too. Sorry, Dennis, but your really being a little @#~`%$^+)%~`&_&)*% girl.
I can relate to McKenzie due to she thought that what her father did was ok.I was abused by a friend of the family and I was only five years old.So when I got older I was telling a close friend about it and she told me that it wasn’t ok or normal to have an 18 year old doing sexual things to a 5 year old. You never think that someone close to you could or would do anything to harm you.And we have to remember that its not our fault.McKenzie you are my hero.I Love You.

I usually never comment on blogs, but was so outraged by that idiot Kari Ann on 4/11/10′s show. Dr. D and Shelly and the rest were giving her empathy about her being so sick and addicted. That was the reasoning behind her absurd outbursts. I say BS!!! That wreck of an immature woman is a spoiled brat. Has anyone told her no in her whole life? That is not her addiction it is pure rude, crude, and ugly. Her parents raised her wrong, and anyone who puts up with her actions needs to have their head examined. I do not want to hear that she has bad parents, or a hard life even if she did she is still responsible for growing up and being a decent person. She is lucky someone has not slapped her right in her ugly mouth. One day someone will slap her hard. EVERYONE IN HER LIFE QUIT ENABLING HER, YOU HAVE CREATED A MONSTER!!!!

With that kind of delusion, you would think Dr. Drew would speak to her and tell her she has serious psychiatric problems that need to be addressed before they get her off Meth.
When will Kari Ann have to behave like the other patients? Never? last time they gave her a set of rules, she broke them the next day and she was booted. Why even let her participate if it will hurt the other patients?

Is this counselor qualified? I’ve watched the way that she speaks to the clients and the faces that she makes and I find her to be very pushy and disrespectful. I hope that she will not return for any later seasons as it seems as if she is not a good fit for the position.

I just wanted to say… Suboxone, when taken as prescribed, is an effective cure to opiate addiction. For one, if you relapse the narcan in it makes relapse pointless and all you get is a failed drug screen. Suboxone saved my life. for over a decade I abused and was addicted to one thing after another. Finally, 600 to 1000mg morphine a day and dilaudid on top of that forced me to seek help…
Within 15 minutes of taking my suboxone dose, i felt as if i had never taken a drug in my life. I’ve been clean for 6 months now. That is only bc of Suboxone. I hate how this show demonizes Suboxone… yes it is odd to treat opiate addiction with a high powered opiate mixed with narcan. but it works if followed properly. It saved my life. I detoxed myself several times only to use again and again and again. Only thru suboxone therapy was I able to go through proper psychiatric therapy to allow myself to start over as a new individual. Suboxone isn’t even really that strong, ppl who abuse it, think it is bc it makes them vomit… that’s bc when you inject it the narcan activates and attacks the opiate in suboxone, forcing you into withdrawl. Granted subutex is probably worthless in treatment bc it lacks the narcan, but there is no reason to contribute to the suboxone stigma… which is equivocal to being a medical luddite.
Interesting show. Compelling and yet disturbing. How can they get well in such a short time? Real life stresses trigger old behaviors…what will be different now? Toxic trouble with that Kari Ann….bad character, rotten disposition, rude and nasty. The only time she acts half way decent is when she wants something. Dr. Drew would be wise to never be alone with this one. I can just see her making all kinds of accusations against him if she turns on him..and she will – she did before already once last season when she was kicked out. Withdrawal not the reason she is this way – although that does not help. Spoiled brat and the world will slap her down if she does not change her ways. I think a year or 2 living in a third world country helping the poor would be do much to help her see reality.
I think all of these men and women are doing a great job.It has to be even harder to be in the spotlight while trying to recover…I pray that you all make it through and can enjoy life once again as sober citizens…

I’m partchial to you because my son so mirrors your life only with a different drug of choice. Take this from a grandmothers point of view: you’re life is worth it if not for yourself which it should be but for that child that will come into this world and needs your protection. You have so much to give that child in the knowledge of the world you possess. When you give a child you’re love they love you back un-conditionaly.
i watched until that kari person joined the show i know i’m missing out but i can’t stand her thinking so much of herself open the door and let her out what ever happends to her oh well
