Have we got a treat for you: a full day before VH1 airs Christina Aguilera’s action-packed Back to Basics live concert (complete with 10 costume changes, stilt-walking dancers and 820 pounds of confetti), we’re giving you a taste of what to expect. In the above clip, the Lady in White tears up the stage with her performance of “Ain’t No Other Man.” “I don’t think it would be fair to my audience to just sit on the stage with a mic,” Aguilera told us before her tour kicked off last February. Tune in to VH1 tomorrow at 10 pm to get the total Christina experience.
John Mellencamp is always on the move. Dude just finished up a spooktastic musical with Stephen King (wha?), and now he might be coming to your town. The roots rocker has announced a string of dates in support of this year’s Freedom’s Road, a politically-charged disc that will undoubtedly prove action-packed in concert. Check the dates, and watch a string of his vids.
Gas, brake, gas, brake, gas. After hitting some snags in the late spring, the principals of a little band known as Van Halen have finally figured out a time when they can all be together on stage. Their keenly anticipated tour has officially been announced, and the guys, David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen and Eddie’s son Wolfgang Van Halen (filling in for uninvited original bassist Michael Anthony), will be bouncing around the country starting in September. “Hello, CLEVELAND!”
Check out the list of dates after the jump. But, actually, maybe you should get reacquainted with the dudes beforehand. Videos are right this way. And if you feel like taking a quiz on old Diamond Dave, have a go at it.
