Crooner R. Kelly is trapped in the courthouse, stuck in the middle of a heated child porn trial revolving around a video of the singer having a three-way with an underaged girl. A new witness is set to testify against Kelly, and is claiming that not only can she identify the young woman in the vid (who appears to be 13 or 14 and whose identity has been disputed in court), but that she too engaged in group sex with R. Kelly when she was a young teenager too! For the record, R. Kelly is 41 years old. Yes, this might just be the grossest thing ever. If only R had just stuck his key in an older ignition, this mess could have been avoided. Beep. [Chicago Sun-Times]

Who’s ready to get creeped out?! We are! The husband of R. Kelly’s ex-publicist spoke out last week on the radio about his daughter’s relationship with the controversial crooner and caused quite a stir. His wife, Regina Daniels, quit working for the star late last year amidst whispers that her 21-year old step-daughter had done dirty deeds with her former client. Her hubby George backed this up in his interview and said he was speaking out for “the public” because “it doesn’t have to be a superstar, it could be the guy on the corner.” But Kelly - through his new publicist - released a statement, and had this to say about his accusers: “The fact is that they had no problem with the relationship — indeed, they encouraged it — while Ms. Daniels was on Mr. Kelly’s payroll.”

After all the back and forth, the youngin’ in question, Maxine Daniels, tried to clear things up even further. “I tried to keep it a secret,” she said of her love affair with the singer. “But when my stepmother found out about our relationship, she resigned because she felt that Rob had ‘crossed the line’ by dating a girl that he has known since she was 7 years old.”

Fake news firebrand and occasionally funny comedian Stephen Colbert announced his candidacy for president this week. Unfortunately for America, Colbert will only be running in South Carolina. He’s planning as running both as Democrat and a Republican, which means he needs both the approval of both parties. Katon Dawson, chairman of South Carolina’s Republican Party, told The New York Times, “My advice is that he could probably have more fun buying a sports car and getting a girlfriend.”

Obviously, Mr. Dawson has never watched The Colbert Report. Perhaps he has never heard of comedy.

Anyway . . . this got us to thinking: Who else should run for president? After the jump, we review some potential candidates.

Earlier this week, we posted about Rock of Love’s Tiffany appearing in R. Kelly’s “Rock Star” video. Now we can bring you exclusive shots of Tiff posing with Robert and Kid Rock (see below), as well as her account as a video vixen. Tiff tells us:

“R. Kelly slipped me his digits (3 telephone numbers) with no name. He did it real discrete. I took a pic with him and he hugged me while slipping it in my hand. Away from other people. Something a baller would do. R. Kelly was real nice. He interacted with us. The last scene in the bus, I was a dancer. When he was on the bus he said, ‘Someone is working out.’ Yep, me. He said, ‘You look good. We will have to get together.’ No, I did not say, ‘Don’t threaten me with a good time.’“

There’s no word on what she said to Kid Rock. We can only assume that she did tell him, “Don’t threaten me with a good time.” Well, we can hope so, anyway.

Fashion Rocks, 9 p.m. (EST), CBS: It doesn’t get much more fabulous than this, folks. Tonight, style leaders and fashion victims alike gather to celebrate the best crossovers between the worlds of clothing and music-making. Scheduled to perform are a whole host of people who embody rock and R&B, bottom-liners who are equally respected for their tough business noses. Expect to see Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Usher and Maroon 5. Also expect to see Fergie. Also expect to see some very expensive clothing, and plenty of people aspiring to be Anna Wintour. We doubt they’ll succeed.

Trapped in the Closet, 9 p.m. (EST), IFC: Even R. Kelly couldn’t explain the continuing evolution of his R&B soap. At its premiere, he called the serial “an alien,” which seems appropriate, since aliens are also things that have been both much loved and also much maligned (not to mention terribly lampooned) since their introduction to pop culture. No mind! Here IFC plays the entire hip-hopera, chapters 1-22, so that you can get a handle on all the drama. If you can’t wait, IFC is screening selections from it now on their Web site, too.
