We are beyond excited for the upcoming show Styled By June, which premieres in March on VH1. Celebrity stylist June Ambrose is an icon in her own right, having worked with Jay-Z, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Mariah Carey among many others, and she appeared this morning on VH1′s Big Morning Buzz Live along with filmmaker Nelson George to discuss last night’s Grammy Awards. They talked about fashion, they talked about the performances, and of course, they talked about all the various tributes to Whitney Houston. Ambrose applauded Jennifer Hudson for her understated rendition of “I Will Always Love You” saying “She was right for it, I thought…she didn’t over-sing it, she just did it her way in memory of Whitney, it was genius. I got goosebumps.” Ambrose also discussed Adele‘s killer style last night and said of her look “For a curvy woman — she lost weight, but her meat was neat.”

Like almost everyone else, we were shocked and saddened to hear the news that Whitney Houstonpassed away today at the age of 48. TMZ reports that Houston’s body was discovered in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel this afternoon, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.
Her death has devastated the entertainment world (and the regular world, too) and though her life had been troubled at times, she left a legacy behind that affected countless people. Here’s a little snippet of that legacy, in the form of Houston’s performance from the 1999 VH1 DIVAS show. Our hearts go out to her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and the rest of her family. She is gone but never, ever forgotten. [click to continue…]
We’ve been reporting on the devastating family situationRenee Graziano has been going through for the past few months as a result of her ex-husband, Junior Pagan, cooperating with the Feds and resulting in the recent arrest of her father, Anthony Graziano. Renee went to court earlier this week and reportedly broke down in tears at her father’s arraignment, and when the New York Post caught up with her the next day, she spoke out against Junior and held no punches.
“They’re in ‘the life’ with you one day, and then cooperating the next,” she said and explained that her son, AJ, has been taking the entire situation hard. “I won’t forgive [Pagan] for what he did to my son,” calling what he did an “immense betrayal.”
Pagan is currently thought to be in witness protection, and Renee admits that she “100%” would have told her father had she known that Junior was setting him up. The Post points out that since informants are the lowest life form in the organized crime world, a tip-off would have almost guaranteed that Junior himself may have been killed for cooperating.
Okay, let’s do a running tally of people we love who also loveMob Wives. So far, celebrities like Christina Ricci, Lana Del Rey and Anthony Hopkins have confessed an obsession with the show, andDiddy has tweeted his love for Big Ang. So it only makes sense that we add Nicki Minaj to this ever-growing list of superfans. In an interview with Paper, Minaj talks to Simon Doonan about her addiction to trash TV (which he shares), and she singles out Big Ang in particular.
Minaj: I love Mob Wives.
Doonan: Me too!
Minaj: I love Big Ang — what is that? And I love the way those girls talk to each other: “Don’t YOU be coming at ME!!!” I love every freakin’ moment. And I watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Beverly Hills. Taylor and Adrienne and the girls.
Now all we can think about is getting Nicki and Big Ang together, that’s a match made in heaven.
[UPDATE] The feeling is mutual, according to Twitter.
Ramona Rizzo appeared on Big Morning Buzz Live today, and in addition to showing off her sexy shoes and her kissy face, she and host Carrie Keagan did get around to discussing Mob Wives eventually. Ramona says that since this is her first time on reality TV, watching the show at first “was a little bit difficult,” but she’s used to it now. We highly recommend watching till the end, when Ramona does her best to impersonate Big Ang. [click to continue…]
