UPDATE! Our sweepstakes is over. Thanks to all the participants!

“Back In Black” and “Highway To Hell” sound great blasting from a radio. But there’s nothing like seeing AC/DC crank out their hits on stage. After three decades of shaking crowds all night long, Angus and company still have the passion needed to clobber an audience with their hard rock attack. Yep, their current Black Ice World tour is a must for long time fans.

What could be heavier? Well, for two nights, in Boston and New York, AC/DC has invited the one and only Anvil to open for them. The veteran metal band is all the rage right now thanks to their critically-acclaimed documentary, Anvil! The Story of Anvil, which depicts the rough road the guys have traveled and the optimism they still sustain. For Anvil, sharing the stage with AC/DC is like a dream come true. Check the VH1 News report on the metal hook-up.

The best part? Our Anvil & AC/DC: Living The Rock ‘n’ Roll Dream Sweepstakes can put you at one of these shows. We’re giving away five pairs of tickets for the July 28th Boston show at Gillette Stadium, and five pairs of tickets for the July 31st New York show at Giants Stadium. In addition, each of the 10 winners will get the AC/DC Rock Band game (you get to choose which hardware version: Wii, PS3, Xbox, or PS2.

Comment below on what your rock ‘n’ roll dream is. Did you ever want to meet a certain musical hero? Did your band ever want to play a certain venue? Did you meet your significant other at a rock show? Bend the theme however you like to make it work, but let us know. Your entry in the comments field places you in the running for our random drawing. The sweeps is open through July 10.

Rock hard enough and you’ll wind up rocking with the best. That’s what’s happened to Anvil, the little heavy metal band that could. It’s been announced that the band is sharing the stage with AC/DC at two key dates this summer, Boston’s Gillette Stadium on July 28, and New York’s Giants Stadium on July 31.

As VH1 viewers should know by now, the veteran kerrang team has been gathering loads of coverage and kudus thanks to the acclaimed new documentary, Anvil! The Story of Anvil.

AC/DC is chugging through the U.S. on its Black Ice tour. Tickets to all the dates can be purchased at AC/DC’s Web site.
